The other option is to build s complete team with a legit goalie and 1C but there is just no reasonable way to achieve that.

Who is more overhyped... Knies or Hage?

I dont see Knies as a PPG Power Forward on a winning team like Maple Leaf Fans do. He was fed minutes this year paired with top end talent with little defensive responsibility and scored 66 points.

Hage is harder to judge as we haven't seen him in the league, but I can understand some Montreal fans saying he is a blue chip or top 25 prospect - just not top 10.

I'd say Knies is more overhyped, but more likely to be an impact player than Hage, who I think is a good 2nd line center when all is said and done

Byrams value will be determined by if he is willing to sign extension with whatever team... he basically has a NTC now.

So Byram asking for 10 or 11 million is on jarmo? that’s way too much for a number 3/4 defenseman and his agent is notorious for driving his clients to go to UFA to maximize the payday… None of that’s on jarmo - he doesn’t need an owner to intervene for him.

I think one year of Bo Byram is worth a 1st, a 2nd and Matt Moulson.

I'd sooner try Byram+ for a center, but assuming they can't find that, yeah, a winger would be fine.

I'd also fill with Carlson on a high AAV short term deal as some have suggested.

We aren’t Florida or Vegas or Tampa or Dallas. Players aren’t trying to do whatever they can to get here. These players can’t be replaced when they want for nothing.
