Bottom 6 clears ours for sure, the top 6 is more filled out compared to ours but if Atkinson can show any type of scoring touch then i would give us the nod

For me our top six is better than theirs even with the hole at 2 RW, thanks to the strength of Kuch, Point, Guenz and Hagel, and Cirelli > Compher. I don't know enough about their bottom 6 and need to see what Atkinson can do. If Sheary is in ours, probably have to give the nod to Detroit.

Does Groshev have a legitimate shot at making the team ? Or does the fact he is waiver exempt pretty much guarantees he starts in the A ?

I think Eyssimont is suppose to return mid-october which would be in line with start of season.

He has a legitimate shot. I feel pretty confident that he'll make his NHL debut sometime this season, even if it's as a call up later in the year.

Judging by who's been skating with the top group through the first week of camp it looks like this competition is mostly between Jesse Ylonen (111 NHL gp), Logan Brown (99 NHL gp), Gage Goncalves (2 NHL gp), Max Groshev, and Conor Geekie. Maybe we'll see a dark horse emerge through the preseason games?

wonder whats going on with Gauthier on why he hasnt been reassigned but also isn't playing in preseason games. I think him and Allard are the only players who haven't been cut to not play in either game.


On a side note: Steen only got 3:00 of TOI yesterday , he looked good in dev camp
