Starting to get really demoralizing as a Wings fan. Genuinely losing faith in SY.
SY has been our GM for 4 drafts, 4 offseasons, and 4 trade deadlines and we haven't done a single thing to address the most glaring weakness on the team by acquiring true scoring centers or wingers.

I get wanting to build the defense first but Jesus, at some point you need to put pucks in nets.

And I know nobody wants to hear this, but since it looks like we aren't going to be adding any decent forwards this off-season, get ready for a top six of Kubalik-Larkin-Raymond, Berggren-Copp-Perron next season. f***ing BARF.

That wee tiny defenseman is the same size as both the guys you're pining for.
He's an inch shorter than Moore, and he's a d-man. The average size of d-men in the NHL is a bit more than the average size of forwards, right?

How many 5 foot 10 defensemen are there in the NHL? I'm guessing a dozen that short or shorter, in the entire league.

ASP is a very offensively gifted d-man.

How many giant D men do we need? He's basically going to be the same size Hronek is by the time he's in the NHL.

ASP literally JUST measured the same height as Moore at the combine (and out benched him). Axel isnt big, but he isnt a shrimp either

The way SN talked about Danielson, made him sound like more of a Rasmussen type pick or in other words not a very exciting pick at all. We already have drafted lots of character guys, why do we never go after the skill guys?

Also, why do some on here keep mentioning TSN, when they aren't covering the draft?

Where are you on this draft so far. You clearly put effort into scouting players
I’d say like satisfactory but underwhelming given the picks we had and the players that were available for us.

Hoping we do better the rest of the way.

Not super pissed but I’m a bit disappointed. I like Danielson though.

I see him listed as 5'11". Taller than Bedard, the same height as Moore. And he may not be done growing.

Also the same height as Makar, taller then Quinn Hughes. An inch shorter than Erik Karlsson.

Seems like the histrionics are a couple years early.

He's going to gain 2 inches in height between the age of 18 and 22? Wow that's odd.

OK. And he's Cale Makar too. Yep.

I mean, I get it. I want to support the team too. And I will. I wish this wee tiny soft offensive defenseman who shoots from the same side as most of our defenseman prospects all the best. I really do.

And I hope Danielson ends up better than Dvorsky and Moore and all of these apparently much more promising prospects.

And I'll root for both of these two guys. Of course.

But right now, tonight: I am so disappointed in these two picks, in the waste of draft capital...I know a trade takes someone else willing to make one, but would Buffalo have traded 13 plus a later pick for 9? I'm thinking yes. Would Danielson have been available at 13? I'm thinking definitely yes.

Allow me to be disappointed, and to vent. ARRRAGGGGGAAApukeOHSHITTHATHURTIVOMITEDWHILEIWASSCREAMINGAARRRGGHHH
