One way to put it: they got a guy at #6 who was still getting first overall votes pretty recently.
Yzerman > ESPNBaaaaaaaaaah.
The clip that ESPN is showing isn't giving me much confidence in this pick.
I'm worried we picked Jonathan Ericsson with wheels.
every team had one player ranked ahead of eklund on their boardSo as someone who knows jack about prospects, why do y'all think Eklund is falling?
A Ristolainen -- then I guess at worst we'll just contact Phillie in a few years and take a high first-rounder from them for him.Hoooooo boy. I'm not sure about this one. Positionally, yes..
But with Eklund still on the board.. damn.. Edvinsson is a much bigger project and could turn into a Ristolainen. But the upside of an Edvinsson-Seider pairing is unbelievable.
Yeah, of course it's another Swede.Swedish mafia adds another
I have no predictions of how he'll turn out but it seems unlikely he'll be in the mold of Ericsson. He's a better skater than Ericsson and can move the puck up ice with his feet and his passing. That about sums him up. His scouting reports pointed out that he has poor 60 minute focus, weak play away from the puck, a weak shot, and suspect positioning.
I am not a fan of this pick.
