I think if you are targeting people who are "bitching" there are others to look at way before me. I think I've been unarguably reasonable in my reaction to the Kreider signing. I don't agree with it, and my perspective is we now have to find talent elsewhere. Yes, we are all on the same team... I think you need to remember that too based on some of the posts I've seen from you this evening. You didn't "win" just cause Kreider was re-signed any more than any of us "lost." We have different opinions on the direction and immediacy of the rebuild. No one is advocating a 5-10 year rebuild in the lottery every year

.
In not targeting anyone so stop saying stupid shit. In fact the people I disagreed with about Kreider I get along with fine. I love different opinions. Again I was simply kidding around with you and you overreacted. Just chill man. We are both Ranger fans and both want the team to win

None of us know what was on the table but everything I read was that we weren't getting a first plus an A Prospect from any team for a Kreider rental.

The rumored Dallas package would have been very nice IMO.... a first, Robertson, maybe more.

Well, I've said today, there are other approaches, it's just way harder now. Kreider was a ticket to an asset haul, plus future cap flexibility.

But if we had gone, say, 4-6 instead of 8-2 in our last 10, and Kreider had been sold off, well, we'd be sitting today with like the 7th pick slot plus TWO firsts to move up. Getting a guy like Stutzle or Holtz would be in the bag.

Ya know it's interesting that you say that seeing some of our best picks recently have been players we got in the 20's...Chytil, Miller, Lundqvist.

Sorry man but I'd rather our boys win as much as they can, create a winning tradition rather than do shitty and hope we got a guy in the 7-10 range who might not be as good as the guy we ended up getting in the 20's while at same time having or kids experience what it's like to win important hockey games at the key time of the year which is mid February and March where alot of the game feel like playoff games.

What's going on right now with this team is absolutely perfect as every game going forward will be the most important game of the year like tomorrow vs Islanders followed by back to backs vs the Flyers as all of young kiddies will get to experience what it's like to play in intense games which will be immeasurable for them going forward as they will be much better prepared what's in store for the next decade as this team will be Cup contenders before too long and playoff participants at worst next year!!.

The team wasn't going to purposely lose games. Or are you just lamenting them winning in general?

What do you guys think about the Isles getting Pageau. He's a good player and I think he fits in well over there but they gave up a lot and the contract wasn't cheap. I still think they don't have a chance to truly contend.

I'm sure that this is not how you wanted it to come off but that almost reads like you hope he realizes that we were in a worse position and you're rooting for our failure.

Feel like he was taunting a little bit and I did not care for it.

You said it perfectly. Good player but they gave up a lot and don’t have enough to win

No, they are veterans, and very good ones at that. And once Staal and Smith go some of our other guys will have enough experience that they are no longer newbies.

You don't need a third of your roster to be grizzled playoff veterans.
As a matter of fact you do. Have you ever been in a professional locker room? You don’t seem to have much understanding about how the room works.

20-21

Kreider - Zibanejad - Buchnevich
Panarin - Strome - Fast
Kravtsov - Chytil - Kakko
Lemieux - Barron - Gauthier
Howden

DeAngelo - Trouba
Lindgren - Fox
Miller - Lundkvist
Rykov

Shesterkin
Georgiev

Strome 5.5m x 1 year
DeAngelo 4.8m x 2 years
Fast 3.2m x 4 years
Georgiev 2m x 2 years
Lundqvist retires or is bought out
Staal Buy Out
Smith Buried
Draft Gunler and Brisson

The 4 best and most NHL-ready defenders in the organization are all righties. They all need to be in the lineup. That’s the best approach with these players.

That's a pretty damn nice looking lineup and I'd be shocked totally shocked if this team listed here didn't make the playoffs at worst if not make a decent run as well!!

A team that lacks dynamic offense talent trading all of their good picks for a center who is more of a two way player than an offensive catalyst...

Yeah, I think it’s extremely misguided.

Yeah, but our best picks were 2 and 9.

Yeah, I don't agree. I think the talent is way more important than a "winning tradition." It would be one thing if we were talking about 5, 6, 7, or more years without playoffs. Most successful rebuilds do have 2-3 years of missing the playoffs which is where we are at.

I think that experience could have easily come next year without making a substantial difference.

The talent on the other hand, we may now miss out on.

Taunting? For the love of God it was just a Friendly joke. For example NYSPORTS and I disagreed about CK but we joke with each other and I actually sent him a nice message saying he is a good poster. Are you honestly gonna say I was taunting you? Come on man

As a matter of fact you do.

That is not actually a matter of fact at all.

Have you ever been in a professional locker room? You don’t seem to have much understanding about how the room works.

I'm sure you have a perspective of what you think works best, I'm also quite sure it is not mandatory for winning. It is especially not mandatory when you are a couple years out from serious contention. The experience can also be acquired organically, it doesn't have to be imported or preserved from the last regimes.
