I agree that Shesty was our best bet to make the playoffs and hopefully him and Buchy will make a swift recovery.

But how f*cking awesome would it be if Hank and that insane stubborn head of his managed to muster up one last heroic push and carry this team into the playoffs and ultimately the f*cking cup.

Not likely with him sitting for for over a month and being rusty but one man can dream.
That has the makings of a Disney movie

NYPD just released an image of the suspect who made the u-turn and crashed into Igor and Buch.

That would be freaking amazing if it happened!!! Just rename MSG to Lundqvist arena, and immediately retire his number.

You actually think this team can win a stanley cup? Unreal.

There's no way to judge this contract right now (for the record, I was in the pro trade Kreider camp). Unless we're forced to move ADA for cap reasons no one can evaluate this contract for at least 3 years.

7 years is longer than I would like , but I did want them to keep CK.Not a pessimist so I don't think that one of the games premier physical specimens game is going to fall of a cliff on his 31st birthday.I get the rebuild IMHO you are not going to win a cup with a bunch 24 yr olds that are not battle tested in the POs.CK brings that poise , he has been clutch in the POs has been on teams in gruelling 7 games series has been on teams that came back from down 3-1 twice. The time will come when this team will need that leadership in the POs.Hope Shesty and Buch recover soon , I predict Henrik goes on a memorable run with all the cards stacked against us and gets us in the POs.Go Rangers !!!!!!!!!

I mean, as has been the explicit plan the whole time.

I'd imagine the prospect first trades were underwhelming. They have their timeline.
The plan felt like it was about building a core around younger players that can compete for ~10 years, not getting away from a core of players in their late 20’s to build a core around players in their late 20’s right away to compete for 3-4 years

Was always a 6x6.5, but the 7th year does not bother me too much. If the cap goes north of 90M after the TV deals, this is going to be just fine. Lots of money freed up after next season and they have enough room as is now. Easiest move is now Skjei goes at some point, now or the draft, and potentially cash in on Strome.

As for the accident, there is no reason for any of these guys to be driving at night. None. Get an cab, call the team and have someone drive you home.

The dollars are better than I expected. I'm waiting for the buyout protection, i.e. signing bonuses movement protection. I would rather have given more money for less years and flexibility in buying out or moving the contract down the line.

Honestly don't even care about the Kreider contract right now. The accident is what really is bothering me. Shesty's year could be over. You can't even make this stuff up man. Let Hank play every game this year who gives a shit

So the question remains, in my mind, how do we get up in the draft this year without the assets from a traded Kreider?

They should really be working on that question.
