Remember when Buntoyo allowed Chatwood to walk in the winning run against the Rays after he had already loaded the bases and had no one warming up. I've watched alot of baseball and I don't think I've ever seen a manager do that

i think it is time for MLB to expand their postseason to 16 teams. Record setting season for the Jays and we have Jack to show for it
I think it's time to move the divisions around so certain teams don't get comfortable. Al central has been a joke for a while now.

Teams in the central can pretty much win by default because usually 3 or 4 teams in that division are "rebuilding". How bout force those teams to spend or put a better product on the field.

A cap floor and ceiling would benefit baseball a lot IMO.

I have felt for a long time we need to correct our division. The top four teams in our division are always strong. It’s not an things being equal scenario

Forgive me father for I am falling into Blue Jays Bat Boy tweets on this somber day.

We do have a young team with some depth in upper minors.

Oh and we have a large budget to bring in players to replace any that leave.

I would say we just need a new manager and better luck in close games.

Shitty ending but it was one hell of a season and everyone in the AL has been put on notice going forward. A full season with a great rotation, tinker with the pen and most importantly a full season in Toronto and hopefully next year we are winning the division.

isnt it nice to know you can dominate teams like the jays did and still miss the playoffs? /s

you only make the playoffs if you are the effin dodgers and play like youre from mars 140-22 record or whatever the hell they did

Remember when Montoyo gave away a game by starting Tanner Roark?

Remember when Montoyo pinch-hit Valera for Kirk to bunt?

Blaming Semien’s one bad throw when he atoned for it 100x over with that walkoff HR against the As is lame when there are just so many games that Montoyo butchered.

Getting players to bunt with two strikes, bizarre bullpen decisions, letting Chatwood pitch and not having anyone throwing, using Panik and not Espinal etc.

If it makes ya’ll feel any better, we weren’t beating the Rays. The bullpen is on another planet compared to us. Jays need to add multiple back end relievers at minimum. 2022 was always the year.

i would argue the jays were the only team with the best chance to beat the rays - we have the most firepower and our pitching starters and bullpen were locked in at the end of the season

just skip the nicecities and go to the WS between Tampa and LA dodgers already

Yeah how often do the Yanks finish under .500? Pretty much never. A bad season for them is 85-90 wins.

How often do the red sox miss the playoffs in consecutive seasons? It's been a while.

Can you the say the same about the AL Central? Nah it's just one decent team every year with majority of the division not even trying.

I'd love to be in the AL central every year.

I will forever keep my new respect for shapitkins for going all in this year, but will always think they should have gone in earlier.
