Tampa put the screws to the Yankees all weekend up until the Judge AB in the bottom of the 9th when instead of putting him on and forcing outs all the way around they pitched to him, now the Nats are going to throw up a 4 run lead. Toronto as a sports city just catches no breaks it seems. Gross.

In fairness, Montoya cost Toronto at least 10 to 15 wins this year with his piss poor decisions regarding the pitching and the lineup. It was all in the beginning of the year, when people said "it's early and these games don't matter." Looks like they're starting to matter now.....

I am quite sure no one here said "it's early these games don't matter"

Not to blame him at all, because he’s going to finish 3rd in the mvp voting and I beg the baseball gods that he’ll be back, but that error by Semien in the 9th versus the dogshit tigers is the difference. Forget running Dolis out there and awful bullpen management aside that one throw that he makes 999/1000 is the difference.

i think it is time for MLB to fix their playoffs. It's a severely flawed and broken format. They did it right last year when they expanded their postseason to 16 teams. Record setting season for the Jays

ONE OF THE BEST JAYS TEAMS IN FRANCHISE HISTORY

and we have Jack to show for it

Not only do we miss, we get the worst possible draft pick from a non playoff team next year.

Shitty ending but it was one hell of a season and everyone in the AL has been put on notice going forward. A full season with a great rotation, tinker with the pen and most importantly a full season in Toronto and hopefully next year we are winning the division.

If it makes ya’ll feel any better, we weren’t beating the Rays. The bullpen is on another planet compared to us. Jays need to add multiple back end relievers at minimum. 2022 was always the year.
