They really do not seem to understand the goldmine they're sitting on. They have a duopoly on sports and spend money in the wrong places. Nobody gives a shit if you dropped money on a studio; we want the product.

To be fair, there wasn’t any incentive on spending from 2017-2019. The org went scorched earth. Before the AA era though they were definitely trying to replicate the moneyball approach (Ricciardi) and it just fell flat on its face.

Exactly. Nobody here has any clue on what they may spend this summer or in the future, I am also quite sure they have enough smart people who realize that a successful product will make a ton of money back for them.

Especially when you have a market of 40 million people in Canada alone.

You know who never makes money, the Rays, they never spend on anything and nobody gives a shit about them. I am sure our owners don't want that.

I think every sports team has an internal budget, but as long as what they spend nets them a positive return, I see no reason why they wouldn't spend.

What I find weird about Ryu, last year when he struggled his velocity dipped and was around 88. His his recent struggles his velocity is around 91 but his control is way off.
