Just finished watching the game and wow what a performance by the Cats! They had control of the game almost through the whole 63 minutes and the Leafs' chances were very limited. At times i was wondering why are they playing so passively but if it works it works and that's all there is to it. A great team effort. <3

About that Sam whatever guy... How much of a bitter entitled douche can you be??? That's just really f***in low. Yeah Panthers don't have the biggest fanbase in the league but to say the fans don't care??? f*** off. That's ridiculous.

Reinhart was an absolute f***ing BEAST on the overtime goal. He held the puck instead of dumping it, skates into the zone, throws it behind the net and then stuffs it home after a great pass from Lundell. Just a top class goal from him tonight.

WE ARE ONE WIN AWAY FROM THE CONFERENCE FINALS!

Lightning fan here. I despise the Stinkin’ Panthers with every fiber of my being, but I just wanted to say that I hope you guys complete the sweep, send the Leafs packing, and give their awful fanbase another year of much-deserved suffering. I’ll be back to rooting against you in the next round, but for now I along with every other hockey fan outside of Toronto am on your side.

Honestly, f*** off. If you “despise” our team and want us to lose next round then why are you posting here? Go back to your board.

I think they backed off after giving up those odd man rushes to start the game. Toronto kept having guys fly the zone and having the D just throw the puck out so they could get it. Was nice to see the coach make an adjustment unlike last year.

After a bit of a sophomore slump, Lundell imho has had a strong playoff so far. At least since he’s gotten Reinhart back and had Luostairinen on that line. Smart plays, great hustle, strong forecheck, saw Reinhart was going to be open on the OT winner. Proud of him this postseason.

Edit: one point in 9 games last year, has 7 in 10 this year.

That 3rd line is a treat to watch. Going from thinking they should look into trading Reinhart during the regular season to thinking now he needs to stay.
Good games from guys I've been hard on in Ekblad and Duclair. On Duke's goal both made good plays to lead to that goal.
Thought Duke was more active offensively, which is all we can ask for.
Barkov is a beast but could become a god if he had 1% of selfishness offensively.
The Bennett line is still effective, but has lost some of their luster from the Boston series. It's not broken, so no need to shuffle lines but expected a tad more consistent offensive pressure from that line.
This was a game I think the Florida of old would of choked. But this team really doesn't panic. It's amazing too in 3 OT games how poised each player is. They don't shrink in the moment.

They don't need to trade anyone anymore. Toronto and Boston have showed us how old men cannot keep up with our young, hungry team. With one or two additional good defensemen and a real 4th line the roster would be amazing. It has enough firing power that is needed in the playoffs, i.e. all top 9 forwarders are capable of scoring in a high pressure, tight game.

Exactly what I was thinking too. Was curious about how Leafs would try to deal with our forecheck and they went with the fling it forward method. Good adjustment to defend and while it looked like Leafs always attacking, didn't feel dangerous

My eye test from being at the arena: this was primarily a fourth line problem with defense pair not recognizing they’re out with the fourth line. A defenseman pinch and two forwards too deep in the o-zone, lose the puck, Leafs are off on their 2-on-1’s. It was aggravating to watch, seeing it way before it happened. The goal was E Staal’s “fault” for not covering the D who was really at fault for going sightseeing behind the wrong net. (Also didn’t help that Dalpe and White ran into each other at the wrong time IIRC.)

We hate Tampa but Toronto has become a close second most egotistical fans on earth. They are worse than Florida Gator fans that’s pretty bad.

What you basically saw last night was your classical playing not to lose scenario. Was not a good strategy and the Panthers towards the end just blitzed them at every turn.

I’m not giving any bulletin board material to either team. Not they players will see, but still. Both teams will present challenges
Man, Paul Laus takes me back to the 90's. He was a solid defenseman.

I remember one year, I think he had 1 goal and it was a winner at Madison Square Garden with like 2:30 left.
