Yeah, I'd take him too. He'd be a good add. Unfortunately he's an RFA so he'll probably go take a college elective over the summer instead.

Imagine they'll need to finalize the roster on Monday. Presumably there are discussions in the background but might be waiting to see who gets eliminated from the NHL Playoffs.

I think we haven't announced anything because we don't yet have enough players to even meet the minimum amount (15 skaters + 2 goalies) to register the team.
I'm not surprised by USAH seemingly failing to get players to show up. And I'm not surprised the players seemingly don't give a shit, once again. What I am surprised about is how quiet it is in regards to NCAA player, either current or the ones signed after their seasons. We've only heard about Luke Tuch. Given how it's going, I'm shocked we haven't heard one way or the other on guys like Cooley, Snuggerud, Commesso, LaCombe, etc. Normally by now we'd have multiple college guys signed up, especially given how quiet the actual roster is.

Maybe my memory fails, but wasn't the main roster announcement last year on the 4th or 5th of May? It's my hope that they are holding off in an attempt to grab a few players who get bounced from the playoffs this weekend. The quasi-announcement concerning O'Connor may indicate that they have some guys on standby. Anyway, it's my hope they announce a roster by the end of this week.

Yeah, I checked and it was the 5th. In recent years I think they've stopped naming players in early groups as they used to more regularly, so poor memory and wording on my part.
I guess maybe less concerning that USAH hasn't announced anything. But more so we know of so few players who are playing. And the coach was just on a podcast where he he mentioned 2 guys we hadn't heard of yet but nothing else. And we've since lost Guentzel since then.
It's been a really odd process so far.

Tampa eliminated. Colton, Perbix, and Cole would all be worthy adds. But they're all RFA / UFA, so don't hold your breath.

Petersen has lost his game, so he's probably the one we'd get.
Maybe he can tap into his prior roots and get a the US Inline National Team players to play.
Copley rather than Petersen. Least he won a lot of games.
Lizotte also played a decent season and I would assume he is somebody who could show up.

LoL last time Pat played in the WC. Could not get it through his brain, that IIHF rules don't allow standing in the crease, not even a toe for a second.
Every time he got called, Maroon would just just stare at the refs in bewilderment. Then he finally stopped and the tournament was over.

Both Canada and US are likely to announce their rosters approx. one week before the tournament, exactly like the last year. I don't understand why some people are suprised by this.
It's not that people are surprised by that but rather it is weird that there are only a few names leaked so far.
