Trust us, the excuses we hear from many for this tourney is alarming...A major Horse Race seemed to be an excuse for a few certain Florida Panthers players a couple years back .....Funny you never ever listen those kind of excuse when its world cup or Olympics
I am not surpriced , but i understand when players are injured or contract ending , but why coming with all that garbage excuses, i would like to listen just 1 time ever a good player in World cup or Olympics said the same, never happenedTrust us, the excuses we hear from many for this tourney is alarming...A major Horse Race seemed to be an excuse for a few certain Florida Panthers players a couple years back .....
What will RJ Umberger do?
I hope he has his PHD by now!!!He has a basket weaving class at Ohio State, so he's out. He will train with the NTDP during his holdout, though.
This literally makes no sense. If they made the playoffs he would be playing. Long season, tough season, got beat up, need to rest and refocus that I can deal with...but some of this stuff is so vague and meh... Still love the little smurf though LOL..Caufield decided not to go. Mentioned wanting a full offseason of training, which is not something he got last summer.

Eichel is all guts and love of the game. He will be there.
I feel like Finns have started to have more and more excuses lately. We barely get anyone for WHC so I feel for you guys. The more success Finns have, the less likely they are to join WHC teams..I would like to have USA Hockey calling these guys out. They should say that only guys who actually have pride to wear those letters when they have a chance are worthy to represent USA Hockey whatever the competition is. Least those guys should not make these excuses and just say how it is. I am not interested to play for USA Hockey. I am interested In Olympics but not USA Hockey. NTDP graduates should especially be called out. Why they joined the program in the first place if they don't care. Oh well... USA Hockey should say that why we take players to Olympics or World Cup who has shown zero interest and pride to represent their nation in the past.

This has nothing to do with Russia not being there. If anything it should strengthen the group so we can win Gold for once.Watson and Gaudette will play for the U.S. national team at the World Cup. Let's be honest, before that there was little interest in the World Cup, and after Russia's non-admission, interest fell even lower. It would be naive to expect stars at this tournament.
I mean..not much more you need to see then this.
His coach is the damn coach for Team USA and needs time to think LMAO!
Tage has come before so I will give him that. But some were labelling him a near bust just 16 months ago, more hockey is exactly what he needs. He has turned into a real good player but one year doesn't make a career. He will have pressure to duplicate it next year. Play more hockey against top competition, that is how you keep improving ..
I really hope he comes, was counting on him, Zegras & Boeser to anchor this squad..
