WC: TEAM USA 2022 Helsinki - Tampere

Caufield seems like he’s definitely going and looks like they got commitments from Werenski, Seth and Caleb Jones and Nedeljkovic as well. I’m sure he’s looking forward to an actual defense in front of him lol.

That's a pretty good start. Hopefully Zegras and Quinn Hughes are on board. Huge bummer that Jack got hurt as I imagine he would have played.
 
So, Vegas is out, Eichel miss a lot of games maybe he could play some more games in worlds

JTD (the poster) said Caufield, Werenski, Seth and Caleb Jones and Nedeljkovic sound like they are on board. Roslovic and Andrew Peeke as well it seems.

Peeke too? Uh oh- lol...

Caleb Jones and Peeke isn't the greatest early names we want to be hearing, but I am sure the "lure" to land Seth is to bring his brother as well... I imagine same for Quinn and Luke Hughes as well..

That is a nice start of names if true, Roslovic has been on fire the past month, he probably doesn't want to stop playing this year lol...

Give me Nedeljkovic and Stolarz in net and build out from there...
 
Seth Jones & Caleb Jones confirmed for Team USA- Blackhawks announcer Colby Cohen just confirmed it on air...also announced Kurashev as an RFA going to play for the Swiss..

Caleb Jones with a nice assist on the Hawks goal by Strome...

Alright boys, Seth Jones!!!

Peeke led CBJ in blocked shots and was 4th in the league. Pretty sure he led the league in PK ice time. 2nd on team with hits. Solid defender that's been chewing about 25 minutes of ice. Been on the top pairing second half of season. If he's in, Team USA is better.

I would be shocked too. He needs to stay home and get ready for next season. Vegas is counting on him, not sure they would be impressed having him skip off to Europe.

Oh I love Peeke all the way to his Green Bay days...He definitely came on the second half, but still dozen plus names out there that I want to hear first...he will do fine here regardless.

Remember I did say Colin White last week lol!!!

Disappointing since Brady has turned this team down now at least 3 years in a row I believe? Not a good look for a Tkachuk who is on the cusp of any World Cup teams...
 
Crazy thing is I was just watching the 2019 WC Quarterfinal vs Russia with my kids and who was Kane's center for much of it???

drum roll...... Colin White!!!

He centered Kane for a lot of that tourney especially after Derek Ryan went down. Then Kane got Luke Glendening as his center with Johnny Hockey on his LW...that line actually worked really well out there, but we know how that game ended blah....

We had Jack Eichel and then a massive drop off at center for that team, a young Jack Hughes as well.....so disappointing with that group of wingers (Kane, Gaudreau, Cat, Kreider, JVR, Keller, Vatrano, Kunin, etc)
 
No Caufield. Thought for sure he was gonna play. Werenski may not play cause of a broken nose. With all of the excuses for players who don’t want to play, got a lot of respect for guys like Werenski who truly want to give it a go even when they have an actual injury cause they just love to play
