Colton Orr like players effect would be minimal.

Prust, Kyle Clifford, Shawn Thornton. Now those players would be amazing and something we haven't been able to develop.

Sample size must be too small. Or you are cherry picking stats, what else could be the reason?

I'd like tough guys in the lineup, but not idiots. I don't want to see this kind of behavior.

Thornton has to travel to Toronto on Friday to face the safety board, he will probably be told that he's done in the NHL.

Half of the kids I live with here are Bruins fans. They were talking about it last night, they think 10 games since Thornton is a first time offender.

Personally I think he's in the 15-20 range. But wouldn't be surprised if this entirely subjective method way of disciplining players gets him like 6 games. :shakehead

Toughness would be nice. Not asking specifically for fist-throwers. Just guys that have heart, pride, and testicular fortitude. That being said, what you really should be looking for is elite talent that also has the strongest work ethic on the team. I think that's the cornerstone of a championship team. Lundqvist has very strong work ethic, but the jury is still out on how many years he's got left in the tank at an elite level. I wouldn't call Nash elite, but nevertheless he has a tendency to disappear for stretches. Richards, not elite. McDonagh, borderline elite but he can't do it himself; not in a league that thrives on offense.

...and who exactly is going to do something tonight if Boulton or Martin decide to be ******?? I cant believe DM was sent down...This would be perfect game to get his feet wet vs a rival...We are playing with fire and asking for another head shot

I'm not really the biggest pro-fighting guy, but I've been noticing more of this lately and it's starting to bother me.
It seems like we're gaining a reputation as a team that you can **** with and not deal with any kind of retaliation. It's not even about protecting anyone physically. Just show some dignity.

Apparently it doesn't matter and is "just a coincidence." Nothing brings a team together quite like routinely being embarrassed. About the only Rangers who seemed to know it was a rivalry game last night were Boyle and Dorsett and that's pathetic.

Don't worry soon the Rangers will be the Detroit Red Wings so they will be able to out possess every team in the league. Just need a few smart trades/signings by Sather to have a Pouliot-Pouliot-Pouliot 3rd line.
 
I've been watching the Rangers for 30 years and this team right now is arguably the softest of all those years. I almost feel bad for them like a kid being picked on! It's cringeworthy.

I can't watch anymore....Hank is sure earning that 8.5...amazing how other goalies who have won cups make 7 but he deserves 8.5...another brilliant move

I agree. He probably told everyone on the bench what he was going to do too. Our team is not worth complaining about
