Those girls are all tougher than the guys we have on this team.

The Islanders tough guys wanted to cause a raucous but they soon realized that the other side is littered with a bunch of *******...not worth intimidating when they are already scared ****less.

I wonder what Boyle was saying "guys, I have been beat up enough already, I am sorry I ran into some of your guys, I will stay away"

Were those teams with the 7 million dollar goalie mediocre like ours?

Quick' steam was an 8th seed going in....When the Rangers would give up a odd man rush or a breakaway, I knew Hank would come up big...maybe all the restaurants, band sessions, fat pay checks, smaller pads have all caught up to king who is more jester right now.

That Kings team was great and it showed once they got a new coach. Do we have Mike Richards? Kopitar? Doughty? Carter? They were loaded and still are. And Hank didnt always come up big, he gave up breakaway goals before and odd man rush goals before. You make no sense

Hey what about Chris Kunitz elbow to the head of Lundqvist in OT the other day?

Why does the franchise player have to bemoan and request Shanny do something instead of watching his teammates step up?

DZ was the only one that did something earlier that night when Hank was run, and he's the smallest defenseman on the team, no response
after the Kunitz elbow.

Teams know they can take liberties with Ranger players, and I think a lot of that has to do with the coach icing the personnel and not being a guy that wants any of his guys in the box so he can roll 4 lines and 6 D, even when they are overmatched.

Ok, hank is playing great...he gave up 5 soft goals...your're right, I don't make sense.

We got a new coach are you saying we need another new coach?

You saw how Hamonic went after him.. then Martin.. then Carkner? That's what you call teammates stepping up for their guys. No gloves were dropped, but those guys were ready in case Boyle initiates further.

You didn't see Boyle drive the net after that did you? Well neither did I.

AV fancies his teams after the Wings...only problem is we only have McDonagh who shows heart consistently....so, we will be soft and suck, like now.

I bet Boyle soiled himself.

I do. For sure I do. I want to see a guy that get's his guys to compete, and sees to it there are counter measures for other teams taking liberties with the guys on this team.

Dude coaches like he suffers from Low T, and from the looks of it, it bleeds into the Ranger team. Too many passengers, too much apathy, no compete, no pushback, poor defensive structure, and not enough on ice practice time.

How is the slot area in front of Hank left wide open? Why are guys taking runs at the Rangers better players?

It's called a bad fit, happens all the time when employing someone, in hockey and other industries.

I didn't like the AV hiring at all but we got him for 5 years but his resume looks great didn't it.

AV coaches in a dream land from the looks of it. Trying to vie for the Lady Byng instead of the cup.

It's like he's going out of his way to prove that he and his team are a bunch gentlemen rather than a hockey club.

Off the ice, fine, I don't care. On the ice, win, or you try your butts off for the cause. Can't say I think AV & Arnie can make that happen.

The Isles are so tough its yielded them 1 regulation win in their last 17 games

I'd fire him 5 months in for what we've seen so far. The Garden can afford it, some fans here think about the Garden's wallet as if it is their own. I only care about the W, and it would be a statement move for the organization to get rid of him because he can't win.

They fire Torts after a 2nd round exit on a team thats missing Staal and Clowe, the closest things the Rangers have to the Bruins Chara and Lucic because he didn't win.

Well AV ain't winning, the team lost it's identity, and aren't competing. Firing is justified.

Yeah one that came against the team that has your namesake. That one win came against the Rangers who lost to a crappy inferior opponent. That's what happens when you don't have defense or goaltending.

The Rangers lost to Wilkes-Barrie the other night, what does that say about the boys in blue?

We ARE REDWING TOUGH
just can't believe 3 yrs ago we were the toughest team in the league.. GM with no game plan coach with a vision that doesn't have the guys to play his way.. This is not a 1 yr fix we might be screwed for a long time to come.

It says they stink at playing hockey. It has little to do with toughness - at least the definition for toughness you're using

Rangers are Red Wing tough without the 2 dynamic offensive stars up front. The scary thing is Ericsson could beat up everyone in the Ranger lineup last night.

In summation, the Rangers are:
Red Wing tough without the offensive creativity and the actual minor amount of Red Wing toughness.

There's just nothing like losing and getting beaten up and intimidated in the process. I bet you our goalie liked his ice cold shower even. The best way I know of to build team spirit. What we need is more talented goof offs like Nash.

I am 47 and have almost had enough I have more pride for this team than 90% of the players I cant take it anymore...We are a league wide joke...I have said this before if we are gonna be so soft at least score 5 a night and that would lessen the gut wrenching agony a bit but to be this soft and barely score 2 a game it is unwatchable

My definition of toughness encompasses more than just pugilism on ice. I would say a better way for me to communicate would be to refer to it as "The Will to Win Ratio".

Meaning, does this team collectively have it in them to do more than the guys on the side for the sake of the win? If so, just how far are they willing to go?

If it isn't up to par on a collective level, then I'd look at individual components, ones that need to go for the sake of raising that "Will to Win Ratio".

In my mind, a team with high "Will to Win Ratio" will out-compete their opponents, win or lose. If there is talent on those teams, and the top guys all have this made up intangible "Will to Win Ratio" I'm referring to, well I think you'd see a cup with those organizations, and those players getting paid like franchise players.

This team let everyone know how hard they are willing to work when they banished Tortorella.

Hagelin showers Naby,Neislen comes over like he is Tiger Schultz..amazing how big ones balls get when he knows there is no one on the other side who can anything about it....

fighting doesn't translate into winning but neither does have a bunch of ******* on your team...

no it's not.

The team is not talented enough to play a system that has proven success.

If there's a justified firing, it's the guy that keeps bringing in the wrong guys for the HC he has, or the wrong HC for the players he has.

AV is NOT the problem here.

The whole front office staff is, owner on down
