Agreed, an elite winger like Rakell would be a game changer. Kempe or Nyquist along with either Zibanejad or Backlund would complement him nicely.

This is looking really good so far if Lindholm passes his medical it’s the best D in the tournament. Rickard Rakell is the edge the team needs, one more player like that would be great. Just worried about the goalies.

I don’t understand why he wouldn’t he’s the only swede in europe talented enough to make a real difference. I actually think Sweden getting tons of talent makes it more likely for Grönborg to make a ”gamble” on Elias Pettersson.

Grönborg is just a boring coach though. If not for nylander last year he would been another fiasco.

If not for Nylander, Bäckström, Hedman, Lundqvist, Strålman, OEL, Klingberg, Edler, Landeskog etc etc.. you see where I’m going with this?

If you don’t have significant world class talent providing edge on your roster you are not able to compete for the gold in the WHC anymore. Grönborg actually gets this edge to wanna represent Sweden in this tournament that alone is a huge upgrade over Mårts, so I’ve decided to be patient with his tactics and system which hasn’t been great.

Rakell can take the train from Stockholm to Köpenhavn. Maybe together with a friend.
