WC: Team Sweden Roster

That’s commitment. Would be a solid addition. Now there’s a need for some edge on offense. Plus one of the goalies needs to overperform alá Enroth.
 
Really hoping Vaxjo wins in 4 or 5 games so Pettersson can play in the the WHC. I love watching him play for Sweden

Asplund playing very well in both games vs. Denmark in Rungsted (12/4) and Rødovre (14/4) . Winning faceoffs, creating chances, and shooting on goal himself quite a few times. Didn't notice Olofsson that much in the first match although he had an assist on Almqvist's slapshot-goal on the PP. Thought he was more visible offensively during the second encounter.

Grönborg is an idiot. He needs to go out and say pettersson is interesting for whc now before elias chooses ahl playoffs like dahlen did.
 
Will they invite Adrian Kempe?

I think so too but you never know.

And then we'll see what the management thinks this time around. They didn't want him on a roster consisting of 25 European players. Now he needs to take a spot of maybe 7-8 European players seeing as I think this roster will be loaded with NHLers(already kinda is).
 
even if elias do not get a spot in 4 lines he could still be good to have as a 13/14 forward and use him on powerplay.

it was a stupid decision then and will also be a stupid decision again even if there are NHL players.
Every year, every WC team takes a few non NHL players (even Canada). Sweden almost always takes the best player in the SHL. Pettersson is the best player in the SHL and arguably a top 3 player not currently in the NHL. Only people that are definitively above him right now are Datsyuk and Kovalchuk. Sweden would be stupid not to take him.

Elias is already the best european. Who else is better? Are you suggesting that SHLs leading scorer both regular season and playoffs isnt among best 7-8 euros?

Grönborg should be fired if he does the same mistake again and be called the worst coach ever.

Well, I really hope there'll be no roster spots left for the likes of Möller, P.Lindholm, De La Rose and Paajarvi. Almost a crime to put them above Lias Andersson & Elias Pettersson. :D
 
Last time Paajarvi played in WHC he was one of our best players. Since then his career has taken a wrong turn, but it will still be intresting to see what he can do.

The team we have already is one of the best we have had in whc. I have alot of issues with Grönborg, but he is certainly better than the previous HCs on making the NHL players want to go to WHC.

Lets hope he do not go all Grönborg and cut Pettersson just because there is alot of NHL players on the team.
