Well.. they’re usually better at something that is quite crucial to the game either they process the game quicker. Plus the NA players mentioned are players who have at the very least carved out careers as middle to bottom sixers in the best leauge in the world and are used to being relied upon to shut games down with the exception of wennberg so yeah, one of them Silfverberg has periodically been hailed as one of the most underrated defensive forwards in the world. The euros are not. So yeah the NA group is so much better its honestly ridiculous.

I guess you are right. But i gotta feeling Garpenlöv would choose the European group. For reasons like "we need some europan players to promote and reward the leagues in Europe especially SHL" and "jetlag, not played on big ice etc". Which makes no sense. Look at Canada and how good they are doing in WC year after year with squads with 99 % NHLers.

FA's, injured people + Forsberg & Sundqvist. So everybody but those two were expected to not be available.

Jukka Jalonen should be in all the hall of fames.

Would be surprised if Bratt accepted due to being a FA. Too bad though extremely talented two way player.

Yet another horrible showing from Team Sweden yet again, bad passes, missed markings etc. It doesn't matter which players we have with this coaching staff it seems, sigh

Good players can only compensate for horrendous coaching to an extent. Will be hard to win this year because of Garpenlöv, no matter the NHL arrivals. Hoping for some more though.

What do you guys think about Albert Johansson? He was part of the WC team last season and is even better this season. Could he be a man for this team?

Hartman, Lundin, Ollas Mattsson and Joel Persson resting tonight. A sign those will be some of the cuts for Beijer Hockey Games?

Rather have Johansson than the likes of Själin, Ollas Mattsson, Djoos.

Any words from Pettersson, Kempe, Arvidsson, Olofsson, William Karlsson, OEL, Lundeström, Asplund, Lindblom, Janmark, etc? The big bunch of Swedish players are all in the playoffs, but there are still some left.

The team needs to eliminate a ton of SHL players if the team will have any chance.

Asplund is playing as mentioned earlier in the thread. Kempe, & Arvidsson are in the POs. Olofsson, & Janmark are FAs so doubtful they accept.

What a goal by Söderblom!

Yeah, very few SHL players can hack it this level. We need a majority NHLers and a few KHL/NLA players. Pudas is the one SHL player who I feel comfortable with in this group.
