I was hoping for Edvinsson, but I take his absence from this squad to mean he won't be joining. I don't think he has the status among Sweden managment, to get to "skip" games
We will see. Maybe he will play in Beijer Hockey Games. If Folin is there it raises the chances for Edvinsson to be there aswell since they are d-partners.

Lennström has been so good in the playoffs, he should absolutely be a candidate for the the WC team. We'll see how many NHL D we get, but I'd say he's among the best Euro defenders we have.

As have Walllinder. Too early for him?

Hopefully he gets a chance in Beijer Hockey Games (assuming Rögle doesn't complete the comeback!). It is really only Pudas and maybe Tömmernes I would feel are good enough in the current squad. Our D needs major reinforcements

Bengtsson, Everberg, Bristedt, Zaar, Wallinder, Rifalk and Lucas Ekeståhl Jonsson are probaly on Garpenlövs mind. But please no more Everberg. He is so overated.

From Färjestad i assume Linus Johansson, Gustav Rydahl, Joakim Nygård, Michael Lindqvist, Daniel Viksten, Jacob da la Rose, Albert Johansson, Mikael Wikstrand, Ejdsell and Lennström is on Garpenlövs mind.

From Luleå it should be Erik Gustafsson, Isac Brännström, Oscar Engsund, Linus Omark (if he wants to), Andreasson and Lassinantti.

International hockey. Look for just a few "smaller" players and emphasis on players like de la Rose, Sundqvist, Wennberg, Klingberg etc. Victor Olofsson sacked. 10 Euros below.

Nyquist - Bäckström - Nylander
Karlsson - Wennberg - Pettersson
Omark - Sundqvist - Raymond
Janmark - Lander - Klingberg
Nordström - de la Rose - Wallmark
Lindblom

OEL - Larsson
Dahlin - Karlsson / Klingberg / Boqvist / Pudas
Tömmernes - Strålman / Folin
Ekholm / Borgman / Fantenberg - Lindström

Forsberg / Johansson

Los Angeles and Nashville made it to the playoffs. Dallas did not. John Klingberg, Fredrik Karlström and Jacob Peterson is available.

Klingberg dont have contract thought, so not likely he comes. The question is why him and others who dont have contract are waiting to get it down. He/they had whole season to sign it.

Dallas has a 99% chance of making the playoffs.

ok, in that case:

Gustav Nyquist - Elias Pettersson - Andreas Johnsson
Victor Olofsson - William Karlsson - Lucas Raymond
Lucas Wallmark - Anton Lander - Alexander Wennberg
Joakim Nordström - Oskar Sundqvist - Max Friberg
Mathias Brome, Fredrik Olofsson

Oliver Ekman Larsson - Adam Larsson
Rasmus Dahlin - Christian Folin
Jonathan Pudas - Henrik Tömmernäs
Theodor Lennström - Oscar Engsund

Anton Forsberg
Lars Johansson
Magnus Hellberg

Only NHL players with contract. However, V.Olofsson said he wanted to play.

How so? I was under the impression there is 4 playoffs spot in every conference. Nashville, Blues, Colorado and Minnesota took those spots.
The top-3 in each division qualifies for the playoffs. Then there are two wild card spots in each conference. Nashville and Dallas currently hold the wild cards in the West. Dallas is pretty much a lock to make the playoffs now. They need to lose both their remaining games in regulation, while Vegas wins both of theirs.

Less bad second half of the period from Sweden and were the team with the most puck possession, but still poor play, sloppy pass receptions, no intensity. Strange, there are roster spots on the line and now one except Högberg no one is doing themself a favor.

It seems to be a pattern during Garpens tenure, that the team doesn't come ready to play against the lower ranked teams. Need someone on the bench with more energy I think, the entire management group seems passive and mild-mannered, that reflects on the teams performance on ice.

1-0 Linus Karlsson in PP 5 mins in to the third. Karlsson has been one of the few players on the team that has shown something today. I think Nordström has done an OK game, Lang and Åman are doing fine on fourth line. The rest of the skaters are getting the F grade so far

Game ended 1-0. Terrible, terrible game from Sweden. Högberg saved the victory. The on-the-bubble players played them self further from the final team. Karlsson - Wallmark - Nordström was the best line, especially Karlsson. Bromé showed some flashes of skill. Lang was working hard on the fourth line. The entire D corp needs to be replaced

I think Hartmann was okay. He drives the play and is fast.

Getting in Friberg, Söderblom, Pudas and Tömmernäs for the next game will bring some energy.

I wonder if Garpenlöv is interested in names such as Asplund, Lindblom, Janmark, Jesper Boqvist, Dahlen, Silfverberg.

I had this bottom 6:

Lucas Wallmark - Anton Lander - Alexander Wennberg
Joakim Nordström - Oskar Sundqvist - Max Friberg
Brome, F.Olofsson

But would this be better?

Silfverberg - Wennberg - Janmark
Lindblom - Sundqvist - Asplund
J.Boqvist, Dahlen

Being in NHL does not always mean someone is better than a euro league player.

Jukka Jalonen should be in all the hall of fames.

Well.. they’re usually better at something that is quite crucial to the game either they process the game quicker. Plus the NA players mentioned are players who have at the very least carved out careers as middle to bottom sixers in the best leauge in the world and are used to being relied upon to shut games down with the exception of wennberg so yeah, one of them Silfverberg has periodically been hailed as one of the most underrated defensive forwards in the world. The euros are not. So yeah the NA group is so much better its honestly ridiculous.
