Our D are great. And we can outwork anyone with all the hard working over average depth guys we got. But our top end talent still sucks. We need a P.Forsberg or Sundin. I dont think Pettersson are one of those kind of players. Time will tell.

Well, you'll have to wait a long while until we get a player of Forsberg's level again. If we ever do.

Sundin's level is reachable for EP. Maybe not his leadership though.

Yeah. Our nos. 5-7 defenders might be 4-5 million usd a year guys (market value). That gives us an advantage over Finland, Czechia and Russia (maybe) that is substantial.

Wonder if Mr. Green have received some criticism for not including enough european players. Maybe Bratt and Lindblom are reserves for Nylander and Landeskog...

Agree. Bratt NOW! Perfect 13th guy if size is what matters. Think they are doing some leadership thing now, introducing "major" or "senior" players first...

Don't forget B-Å ignoring Holmström and choosing the scrub Rhodin(?) from SEL in 2006, ahead of much better NHL defensemen. Luckily, injuries put Homer into the roster. He was an important player to win gold, especially on the PP. There was some controversy behind leaving both Homer (Detroit), Hedström (Anaheim) and Norström (LA) out of the roster, behind SEL scrubs. Well, they managed to win gold, so that was forgotten.

Krüger is such a "meh" choice. I agree Grönborg has to at least ask Bratt, he's had a solid season playing for a poor team. A huge bunch of these guys are good enough to kill penalties anyway, Krüger's stone hands aren't needed. It's important all lines can pitch in offensively in close games.

I had a hazy memory he didnt select naslund for 2002 olympics but he did.

Oh now i remember. He choosed tellqvist over lundqvist for 2004 world cup.

Tellqvist put up one of the worst goalie performances i ever seen.
