With me you got to separate what I think I find realistic or what Jalonen would do vs the 1% or under scenarios. I like to remind people of the possibilities, even if they are small.

Btw that Dahlin vs Heiskanen poll got pretty popular and I'm little bit surprised about that. I don't think all those 150 people who voted for Heiskanen are Finns...

Yeah fair enough. Just need to be patient but I don't want to be patient and I want to know.

And I mean Heiskanen is great but I doubt a lot people watch Buffalo play.

That's actually an indirect admission that they're still angling for someone from overseas. Because, let's not forget, if Nurmi is the only option left, there are no bureaucratic hurdles involving him. They can register him any time they like and that's it.

Friman was in the olympics, Seppälä wasn't. But we'll see. Personally it makes little difference to me.

Well I'm little worried about our offence, but at least D is getting better. Both Lindell and Heiskanen are going to help offensively as well.

While I would have hoped for more firepower up front, the team technically has its bases covered - as there is a player amongst the defense who can also play forward: Friman. So they don't need that 14th forward if injury trouble strikes.

If they lose a bottom-six winger, they can put Friman into that slot. If they lose a scoring line winger, they have Innala/Rajala (whichever ends up in the pressbox) waiting in the reserve.

And if they lose one of the bottom centers, they can move Sallinen to the middle and add a winger. And if it's one of the top centers (god, hope not), they can move Granlund.

I've actually liked Seppälä in these games. Actually i think Ohtamaa's been worse than either Seppälä or Friman, but they won't bench him.

Suprised it was another D but Lindell is good and a familiar partner for Miro so that makes sense. In emergency Friman could play wing, like he did earlier in his career.

I don´t think Lindell is going to play at that game yet, if hes even coming at all. Not sure about Heiskanen though.

Should be a tough game. I wouldn´t be too worried as a swede.

This also clears the picture regarding Haula. Boston was eliminated first, but Plan A at that stage was Hintz+Heiskanen, so of course Haula wasn't going to get the call before CGY-DAL is over. Dallas lost, and they got Heiskanen. Hintz couldn't come, and there were also reports that Lindell is playing with some kind of injury. However, they did get a provisional yes from Lindell - if he clears his medical. So they decided to wait for that.

It was reported that they won't arrive until Thursday and won't play until vs. GB on Friday. So sleep easy, lillebro. Instead of the version on steroids, you just have Jalonen's regular hedgehog defense to deal with.
