We could be fine with Necas and damn Zacha such a chance for Zacha to play in national team as a 1st line center.
We have only few centers in NA so we desperately need all of them. Especially young promising guys who are our future.

Good ole Pavel Zacha... He would've been top 6 with better wingers than he's used to! Real chance to develop his game and showcase himself.

Cheering against NHL players(teams) just so you can cheer for them a week later at the WHC?

Nothing wrong with that. I cheer for teams, not for players. Even more so now that I'm close to 30 and don't idolize players who are younger or just barely older than myself. I'm a fan of the Ducks and of Team Sweden. If my favourite team is eliminated from the NHL playoffs I'm not gonna jump on another teams bandwagon simply because they have many Swedish players. I don't care for that. However, since I do cheer for Team Sweden I want them to assemble the best team possible. Has nothing to do with cheering against certain players only to cheer for them a week later. It's about the team and what it represents. I'm sure many people feel the same about the Czech national team.

I hope they're trying to increase his draft potential by doing this. He's a little older than Zadina and I'm absolutely positive he knows him and would tell you that Filip is a better hockey player than he is. If Zadina had stayed in Europe he'd be a guaranteed starter for the team. It's the 'disappear in AHL' thing again. Same with Kase (who was invited last year when playing in Europe but not this one) who is a former captain of National Team. I have nothing against Rousek and hope he gets drafted but it is funny how the Czech federation views these things.

Just wait till Frk returns to Europe and everyone talks about how good his shot is.lol

This is imo not about federation. Its Rihas attitude and not really wrong imo. It was easy with Necas last year when he was Kometa. But all our best young guys are in North America right now. I'd much rather the spot go to Zadina or Kaut (if he is available which I'm not sure he is) who are still teenagers. Rousek is 20 now.

I 'd like to switch Zatovic with Kubalik But Repik - Hanzl and Kubalik is very interesting european line poor Chytil again 4th line atleast he is there, lets hope he'll move up.

I'm hoping they've seen enough of Chytil so they're putting him on the 4th line because they know he'll be much higher later on.

Zatovic is a classic example of a guy I like a lot (I like all my Czechs) but I can't see him doing anything other than 4th line against a team like Canada/US/Sweden/Russia (I'm not sure how stacked the Finns are yet). Not sure what the point of playing him with Voracek is? That is a bonafide top 20 player in the world with a guy who will never crack the Top 600 in the world.

At least with Kubalik, we know his star is rising and the GM has said he's pretty much guaranteed a spot in Chicago's lineup (mind you, that was said before they won the draft lottery and moved up to number 2).

Well, there are 36 guys in the team now, in neither game the line-up will look like at the tournament itself. The lines for the FIN game are utterly provisional, maybe some combos can be significant (Řepík - Kubalík, Voráček - Kovář), but I am sure the lines against SWE on the 10th of May will look completely different, as well as the defense pairs.

I saw third period... we were all over them! Shame we lost.

Simon did look good, expect him to be first cut and then Chytil. We need more Extraliga players! Nice to see our D scoring goals.

It was apparent that some players did not play any games recently, and there is a lot of work to in terms of the lines combination. The third period looked pretty decent through.
Zaťovič was a huge disappointment, don't expect him to make the roster now. He used to be solid but as he is getting older, he becomes significantly slower.
I would not make big conclusions based on the result: These pre-tournament games are specific, some players know they will make the roster, some are themselves skeptical towards this possibility, some know they must compete for the spot. What disturbs me a little bit nonetheless is that the Czech team had 40 shots and the only 2 goals were scored by the defensemen on the PP. Not exactly great for the forwards.

I like how Hronek is taking responsibility and is slowly developing into a NHL top 4D. I haven't seen a shot quality like this since Zidlicky. It was a great game for him as well!

For the quarter finals I'd like to see Hronek Gudas get at least 40 minutes each.lol
