He may be slighty sick or something. I don't know if the players still need to come to the registration centre in person, as it used to be at least with junior tournaments some years ago. If yes, he might as well simply miss that and may be added with some delay.

He needs to be there otherwise they cant put him into the tournament official, so maybe he have not arrived in Finland yet

Yes, it is possible. He may have some personal, family etc business and will join the team in the upcoming days.

I figured if Canada would lose it'd be early and Germany has a nice team with some great pieces. They are doing great so far. Gold contender for sure. My biggest fear is some stumbles and then a quarter with the Czechs.

Really decent first period of the first game for this team. I like the mix here, big, good skating team that should do really well on the board battles and offensively skilled. They look pretty organized and ready to play right away as a group too.

Not sure why Chabot was ever on the bubble to play our left side on the aborted Olympic team, he never was with me.He's a damn good d-man, smooth, smart, just the kind of d-man you would have wanted to work with the forwards we would have had at our disposal last olympics.

I thought the team looked great. They looked a little tired and disinterested once we got up 5-1, but lots of positives to take from that.

Two players still eligible for the WJC, and they did not look out of place.

12 Fs registered. assuming Barzal gets in tomorrow, that means room to add one more F. Connor McMichael from the recently ousted Caps might be a good add. A young player with maybe some A-team potential who could use the reps.

I'm not the person to ask about Tom Wilson in a Team Canada jersey. I'm not particularly a big fan of one Tom Wilson. Mr. pretty boy GQ., even less so for the international game. Wilson is a prototypical NHL North-South dumb as bricks winger. I don't think he would do particularly well in the international game. But sure, Hockey Canada could give him a call and I'd welcome Mr. Wilson proving me wrong. I'd love it, but me thinks he'd much rather be taking in Blue Jays games this time of year than playing a few meaningful hockey games somewhere in Europe.
