Any news on Barzal? Will he play today?
He's been registered. not that it means he will play today, but at least he will at some point play this tournament. so that is good news.
He will play, on the line with Batherson and Johnson.
TSN has Mike Johnson ad Gord Miller.Sorry for OT, but is the commentator from Tampere, the one who covers Jets ?

Sleepy first period for Canada, not really anything of note.
Dennis Beyak, yes, is doing the games in Tampere. His NHL beat was the Winnipeg Jets regional broadcasts. He's now retired from that gig. He'll be doing international games for a few more years.
I don't mind a tough period against lesser opponents. It does get the players attention.

and another point, Nick Paul's WHC experience last year paid off in this year's playoffs. just saying. young players should take note.
Thanks ! I don't know but he always sounds to me like he is totally wasted...Dennis Beyak, yes, is doing the games in Tampere. His NHL beat was the Winnipeg Jets regional broadcasts. He's now retired from that gig. He'll be doing international games for a few more years.
