I think that they know that. Crosby and Stamkos alluded to it and Marchand will be 37. I could see Crosby being taken as a token legend by that point but not Stamkos or Marchand.

This is how I see it as well but it won't affect their legacies, well maybe Marchand but he is tracking for the HHOF anyways.

Didn't like at all what I saw from Cossa. This guy was really in the top 3 eligible ?

I know they are 16 and 17 but I think I’d have Wright and Bedard higher rated than some on the list, like McBain Quinn and Krebs

Owen Power is the first player to commit to the team
Sabres prospect Owen Power to represent Canada at Beijing Olympics

Looking at the long list so far it might sound like the team is, at least, seemingly better than what they put out in '18

I was surprised to read that in Friedman's 32 thoughts column. If I recall correctly, Makar turned down an offer to play in 2018 in order to stay with his NCAA team. Since Power declined t go directly to the NHL and talked about how he wanted to experience university life, it's... interesting that he's agreed to go to the Olympics after already having a disruption for the aborted WJC.

It's almost the time when teams were going to be made. I'm thinking that Kyrou was more likely than not to make the Canadian team.
