Tough to say. We have a lot of money tied up in players whose contracts will expire by the time Kuch is up again. And the size of Kuch's deal makes next year's cap crunch a lot less crunchy.

This deal goes a long way toward making it possible that we can keep everyone.
We have more money coming off the books than going on, especially if Killorn gets snatched up by Vegas. And moving a guy like Garrison will be a lot more comfortable after we've seen a full year of Koekkoek.
Odds are still good we'll have to lose a key player. But they've tilted a little bit against that today. And, I mean, who wouldn't want that problem? Oh no... we have too many good players to fit under the cap.

Just an amazing deal for Tampa. I could sort of see Kucherov giving a discount for a year to give Tampa time to get past Bishop and the expansion draft, but THREE years taking much less than what he is worth? That's unreal to me.
