Confirmed with Link: [TBL/CHI] Lightning trade a 2027 3rd rd pick for Jack Pridham

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
Looks to me like he's got a very quick release and above average instincts about finding the open spaces in coverage to use it. Half his goal highlights are SOR finding him for goals where the puck only stays on his stick for the bat of an eyelash.

I can definitely see Carle wanting to be here. We did him a huge solid and at the time he basically said he'd be forever thankful.. wishing him nothing but success but its still Coops time.
For sure. I just mean the league in general. He will be snagged somewhere the moment he gives the green light. Whether he succeeds or not is another story, but hes on the radar.

We did what? When?
He doesnt know, guys.

Its okay Mr. Baby. When you decide to mock Stammerclown University's lectures and act like you can gain a high level education elsewhere, this is what happens. The Clown Commission Board would like to inform you that David Carle, brother of Matt (yes, that one), had a heart condition and the Lightning organization drafted him in the 7th round. The story is on your Google machine if you so kindly wish to pursue furthering your knowledge.

Consider yourself clowned on.

Good day.

Fwiw he was voted on having the best shot in his conference in the OHL coaches poll

Jack Pridham, Kitchener Rangers (36)
Liam Greentree, Windsor Spitfires (13)
Chase Reid, Soo Greyhounds (12)

Pridham led the memorial cup in goals (5) and points (9) to win the Ed Chynoweth trophy

Matias Vanhanen is a guy to watch for the 2026 draft later this month. Steven Ellis ranked him this last week as a late 2nd round guy who could be there for us. Would give us 3 guys from the memorial cup all star team.

Good day.
Am I stupid for not knowing this?

How do you prospect guys think he compares to Lucas Edmonds at this stage in their careers?

Pridham having three inches on him probably gives him a better chance to make it I’d assume.

JBB proves again he's a smart guy. Takes a flyer on a 20 yo guy that could have some good upside and has shown to have insane chemistry with SOR. He will also be impactful faster than a 3rd rounder in 2027 (if his game translates to the NHL, big IF still)
Quietly our prospect pool looks the best it has in the last 8 years..?

Yeah I really like these kind of moves, low risk for a potential NHL player, something that would be less unlikely with the pick and definitely take longer.

If we keep looking out for these kind of opportunities + continue to try out well-performing players in Europe (such as D'Astous), then it's a great way to add prospects/players, with no risk involved.

Submitting for extra credit

Last Lightning pick (203rd) while Anders Lindback was still on the board (went 3 picks later to the Preds).

So hell yes he owes us a solid. Had we started the Lindback experiment sooner, his ceremonial drafting wouldn’t have happened

They both were big point producers in their overage OHL seasons, but otherwise they're a bit different. Edmonds was smaller, a below average skater, and more of a play maker than a goal scorer. The hope was that his high hockey iq could make up for some of his other limitations. Like Edmonds, we won't really know until Pridham turns pro, but having Pridham use the NCAA as a stepping stone before going to Syracuse I think is a smart decision. Doesn't hurt that Denver is one of the best run programs in the country and NHL teams are knocking on the door for David Carle. Hopefully the added year aids his development.
