Get it done JBB
Get it done JBB
Doesn't he have to get drafted all over again first? Don't dislike the prospect but the dude is gonna be old enough to drink in 4 months. Once again, this is "Beating up a bunch of teenagers" stuff here. We can sign him sure. But he's gonna cook in Syracuse for a LONG time
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

yeah I don't think he was going to sign with Chicago and a 3rd is a pretty decent return. I think he would have gone in the 3rd/4th in this years draft if he didn't commit to a collegeI’m confused why the hawks got rid of him his rights extend two years if he’s going to the ncaa unless he told them I’m not signing with you ever ? Lol
It would be odd if he only plays one year in college I guess we’ll see i think he can play 2 years in college and then we would have a few months after his season to sign him before he went to free agency.interesting... I kind of wish he just went to the AHL though. Its pretty apparent he wasn't going to sign with the Blackhawks regardless and his rights only extend 2 years so I guess he is going to play 1 year in college and then hope to make the Lightning or go to Syracuse? Its hard to imagine they paid a 3rd if he plans on playing the second year in college.
I am pretty sure he is only staying in college for one year because if he stays for 2 years the Lightning lose all leverage and because he wasn't a first round pick they wouldn't get any compensation back. Since they traded a 3rd they must be pretty certain he is willing to sign with them and if thats the case then they could have just waited the 2 years he was going to play anyway to get him for free. Only logical explanation is he just wanted to play in college for 1 yearIt would be odd if he only plays one year in college I guess we’ll see i think he can play 2 years in college and then we would have a few months after his season to sign him before he went to free agency.
It’s definitely a risk because at that point he can talk and sign with any team
Get it done JBB
good call!
After being burned by Howard I am a lot more anxious on using draft capital on college bound prospects. Must really like him
I assume that’s why the cost was so low. 3rd round pick for a former 3rd round pick who has exceeded expectations.
