Don Cherry calls him the "Kingston Cannonball". I used to post this when he scored.

Injuries scare me a bit, but I have no doubt that he will thrive in the East. From reading the input from the Oils fanbase, we got ourselves a true gamer.

With McLeod and Hall in the mix, we are going to replace Parise's Heart and intangibles tenfold along with some ****ing speeeeeed.

I wouldn't worry about his injuries to be honest. This past year he really matured his game, and took a lot less careless risks. He got a lot better at picking his spots.

Those worried about his character also have absolutely nothing to worry about. The only people who claim he has character issues are those who's sources are "some guy I knew went to the bar and saw Hall and he looked mad" or some bullcrap.

He's a true driver, and game changer. I'm looking forward to having our D shored up, but man am I ever gonna miss Hall.

You guys are in for a treat next season. I can definitely see him scoring around a PPG

Nice! We will take care of him!
TG getting defensive now, doing his hardest to downplay the significance of this trade for us.

What's his problem? Not that I've read any of the posts yet, but I've seen quite a few posts about him today.

The main board is laughing at Chiarelli and calling it a heist on our part, yet he seems to be 180 the other way from the sounds of it.

He isn't trying to downplay it. What he's trying to do is show that it is not as lopsided as everyone makes it out to be. And I agree with him. Hall is very good, but he isn't Ovechkin, or even prime Kovalchuk or even prime Parise. Larsson is a top pairing right handed d-man with untapped offensive potential signed at a reasonable price for 5 more years. I thought the Devils got the best player as of now, but as fair a trade as it could get considering the circumstances.

I am an Oilers fan and am in complete shock and depressed. Taylor Hall is one of the elite forwards in the league. He generates chances like no ones business and is an electric player; an absolute phenom to watch. He plays hard, gritty, and he's fast.

Very underrated in the league, he's been the #3 5v5 points producers in the NHL for a while now.

I'm sure Larsson is a nice asset, but I am devastated by this trade. If you told me you gave up your 2017 and 2018 firsts with Larsson I still would have a sour taste in my mouth.

Congrats. Every Oiler fan will be cheering like mad for Hall, and take it from me; I'm vindictive with former Oilers players who never game a damn--Schultz, Gagner, etc. Hall is a hero and always gives it his hall. He's also become very mature over the past three seasons.

You guys got a great player. Elite speed and high end playmaking ability and some finish. Good combination of speed and grit. If he finds chemistry with Henrique again he could put up some big numbers for you guys.

People think it's the most lopsided trade made in recent memory because they see Larsson is a 4th overall pick and doesn't put up many points. Nevermind that he gets no PP time at all. Not that I think he's an elite offensive defenseman by any means either.

But some people act like it's frickin Erik Gudbranson that the Oilers just traded Hall for, while others are expecting that they should have gotten Erik Karlsson for Hall.

AGAIN Ovechkin??? Why is his name being brought up? I don't get it.

One thing we need to remember about Larsson, he had FIVE even strength goals in his career, if I'm not mistaken.

This was a lopsided trade.

I was quite surprised to see that Hall only averaged just a little over 19 minutes per game the last two seasons and just under 19 minutes for his career.

He'll definitely be getting more than that here.

Hence how he's #3 in 5v5 p/60 since 2011-12.

I think we'll see an increase in production.

Thanks, it is indeed, brand new haha.

I've decided that as much as losing hall sucks, I'm gonna cheer like hell for Larsson to turn it into a landslide in our favor when we look back on it ;)
