It's surreal, I honestly can't even picture Hall skating down the Prudential Center with a Devils jersey on. I just never thought it'd happen. But within a matter of moments our entire outlook changed, and I'm so confident in this team right now.

All of a sudden we got faster and we are going to see some pretty goals and some gaudy numbers.

This is exactly me, I was kicked out of a parking lot because I was on the phone with my buddy when he told me... I got loud haha.

Ive always known how good Hall is but I was fuming about losing Larsson. I definitely overreacted but I still stand by the fact our defense now needs an entire 2nd pairing, and that is if you are putting Severson on the top pair with Greene.

I was pretty fumed at work as well, yelled out negatively in disgust for my initial reaction... But thought about it on the commute home and then read this place and it was like Christmas all over again here.... got me thinking,

Still feel uneasy about losing Lars because i felt he was going to take it up even another level this season... and we basically lost our quiet top pairing D, that people constantly would overlook and was shaping up into a really stellar defenseman, our diamond in the rough, so to speak.

Oilers fan with very mixed emotions looking for Devils fans to help me out.

I have enjoyed watching Taylor Hall and am very sorry to lose him from the Oilers, but from what I have read about Larsson, it sounds like we got a very good defenseman, which we sorely needed.

Congrats Devils fans, I believe you have added one of the top LW's in the game today...who is still improving. I wish him and your team much success in the future.

Having said that, I am eager to see more of Larsson...can anyone name a standout game (preferably from the 2015-2016 season) that I can go back and watch? I know not to be watching for offensive talents so much as a player capable of playing well against opposition offense...but not sure how best to find examples of those types of games.

Watch a game against Philly in the 2012 playoffs. A long time ago when Larsson was a rookie, he completely neutralized Claude Giroux and held him to one point the whole series. That's when I first realized what a spectacular defensive defenseman he is.

I've liked Winnipeg since you guys left Atlanta, since I hate passionate fanbases losing their team for BS reasons (soft spot for Seattle too for the same reasons) but your story has a happy ending. I've been to Devils-Jets games that we lost and it didn't bum me out like losing to a team that I dislike.

Hopefully the Jets are the Canadian team to break the drought. Chris Jericho and the rest of you deserve it.

I'll be rooting for WPG even more now, since Lars is a bro.

Larsson was my favorite Devil by far (I had the first jersey he ever signed with #5 - he told me so)...

If we were going to trade him for anyone in his league, ironically, Taylor Hall was the one guy that came to mind as a very very slim possibility - Although I also thought we would have to add a 1st rounder...

In a straight up deal, how could any GM pass this up. I think the Devils win this deal but it's not like Edmonton loses. I think they got very much what they need and they have a plethora of offensive talent that Hall will not be missed..replacing Larsson for us may be harder than Edmonton replacing Hall.

Hall score fewer goals than Palmieri let year so temper your enthusiasm. It's a great add for sure but also understand what realistic expectation s are. I'd hope for 30 goals next year...and the Devils could use them!

Yes, totally roasted on the main board, totally mind boggling (and on Canadian news sites). Have these people seen him play last season and the half of the season before the last one?

Its one thing to just look at stats, but damn Lars is much better than what they're writing about him. Feel really bad for him because of that, set him up for a rough entry into a new team because of these hacks.
