Just wondering if the leafs struggled like Florida has lately with just a half dozen or so games left in regular season would leafs fans be ok with it? Playing poorly before the playoffs is never a good thing IMHO.

I am pretty impressed the way the Leafs have found enough depth throughout their lineup to keep playing well without some of their big guys for long periods of time. I would have been nervous in the past with no Marner or Rielly. Now I am like, come back when you are ready. Don't rush.

The Bolts have WC1 wrapped up.

This is a nothing game for them as well.

Expect pond hockey.

Leafs 8-5.

Nylander may not even ENTER the D zone, he’ll kinda hang at centre ice tapping the ice for a pass.

There would be broken keyboards and tv's everywhere. I agree it's not a good thing at all. Florida seems to get the benefit of the doubt though that they’ll just turn it around when it matters for some reason

He is so poor defensively, I’d like to see Rielly, Lilly, McCabe Timmins Benoit and I guess Bush
Timmins is way worse imo, nice depth but not near playoff material.

The Brodie fascination of Keefe is beyond belief......
I still can't get over him having the belt, I totally bought it was April Fools when I saw the photo. He was atrocious in the third.

Agree to disagree. Timmins has huge offensive potential and can either pass or skate the puck out, Edmundson gets trapped in our zone

That had to have been Matthews giving it to him for the assist on goal 61. I can’t think of any other reason.

Another statement game coming up. I don't expect it to be a slug fest, because neither team wants any injuries. But you're going to see some net crashes and post whistle face washing.

Leafs will win this because Tampa lost too much talent and motivation since their Cup wins.

That just goes to show how he is thought of in the room.

Both sides are easy to have a POV from.

Yes, his off ice life has been extremely difficult lately, but at the end of the day you still have to perform.

The guys in the room obviously like him and know he could be an asset to their quest for the Cup if he can keep it together. He was excellent for a stretch when he was put back on the left side.

I'm ok with Brodie staying in tonight. Gio needs to get rest. He's still an effective D but needs to play less minutes and less games. Rest him up for the playoffs and rotate him in, once in a while.

Brodie needs to be extra guy, once Edmondson makes his return (probably Saturday night).

But it's Keefe, so...

Injured? Lilly carried him, results were mediocre.
And Rielly, McCabe and Benoit on left side would be better.
benoit looks his best beside mccabe and mccabe looks better on his off wing and our pk is much better with eddy and last but not least what he does to the other team is important in a series

Be tough to get in somewhere and eat before puck drop.
Head West on Front and there is Jack Astors, Kellys Landing, Loose Moose, Scaddabush, maybe you'll get lucky at one of those.
Loose Moose is my favorite. its a huge place and the food isnt bad. most likely wont need a reservation either

yes he was but hes not physical hes slower and an offensive blacc hole id much rather him be a depth dman

Keefe may not be concerned with it but you can bet your ass Matthews is.

Last 10 games
8 - 1 - 1.
They still have really good team
Vasi is still the greatest goaltender in the world.

Absolutely, I feel bad for him personally and suspect that was part of the reason. He's been a warrior for us, easily the most dependable back there from when he arrived. It changed late last season and it's just been worse this season. At the end of the day his issues are irrelevant to performance and he really worries me in the playoffs.

You have to win a puck first. I thought he was our worst D man by far Monday, soft and unable to react under pressure. He looks great against open teams, when he can skate out unimpeded. That won't happen come playoffs, to me he's our 8th or 9th.
