Buffalo needs another 2 guys like Tuch, not trade the only one they have.

It's unlikely that we'll move Tuch, it would require a serious overpayment.

The can check on him all they want; not happening.
And Tampa doesn't have the type of pieces Buffalo would want in return. I don't see any way a deal comes together between these 2 teams for Tuch.

I am not saying it will or should happen but Tampa has shown that it is willing to ignore whatever “market value” is for a player and instead “overpay” if it is a player they believe can help them.
Here's the thing, Tuch could be moved. Buffalo is a dumpster fire and if they could move Tuch for a piece or pieces that could help going forward they may consider that. I just don't think Tampa has those pieces at least not ones they are going to consider moving.

He's a fan favorite who has ties to the area on a team with little to market to its already irritated fanbase. Trading him to a divisional rival for futures would probably cause jerseys to be thrown on the ice and all but death knell ticket sales.

Omg, we are not talking about Gretzky here. Ask any casual hockey fan who is Tuch and nobody knows the guy. He is an average NHL-er, stop this nonsense please. For the right price he is going to be traded faster than Lightning (pun intended)

I’ve thumped this before but I don’t see any reason Buffalo should look to move Tuch. They need more Tuch’s not less.

Herein lies the problem - Buffalo can't afford to trade a player who is here now for even more futures. The youngest team in the league with an increasingly disconnected fan base can't make a deal like this.
LOL. Sabres need more futures and crap for a bonafide top-six player who loves playing in playing and is highly likely to sign. You want Tuch the price would have to be a bonafide centre with long term team control and a serious RD. Cernak and Cirelli could work.

But it seems to me Buffalo would have to absolutely stupid to move Tuch... so a trade will probably be announced anytime now.
