Sadness. Couldn't catch today's game except for bits and pieces. Just a damn shame. It's tough to beat the defending champs, especially when they essentially cheated on top of having a great team already. Hopefully next year, boys

I'm a Canes fan, have been for 15 years. I've been tracking the careers of Ned, Trocheck, Hamilton for a long time. I'd rather be here, glad to see you guys are inclusive. I'm not coming to shit talk, I'm just frustrated, as you all are.

To me, it stings less because I think Tampa really is just that good.

I didn't feel that way about Boston either time.

We weren't as developed playing Boston though, so while yes Tampa is the best team we've faced in the 3 years, we still looked just as clueless against elite teams as before.

Hell of a run for a weird ass season that might not have even happened. Just remember the dead years and thank whatever deity you want that we are way past that crap.

Will be a very interesting off season for much discussion, debate and general discord as the board talks out of their asses on who, what, how long, and how much. Looking forward to it.

Not sure what team you've been watching, but when 3 of your top 4 goalscorers are Niederreiter, Trocheck and Staal, the basis of your offense is cycle/forecheck, not skill and speed.

I don’t know what team you are watching but we don’t play a heavy game because we have 3 guys who are hard to move. Everything is in the umbrella, very little net front, and get pushed around up and down the line up. No one classifies the Canes as a heavy team.

Sure, you're right. But it's like you said, they were still wet behind the ears when they got Boston the first time, and they're a better team now that just ran into a buzzsaw. Honestly, I think if we played that same Tampa team with a lesser goalie, we probably take it 7 games if not win.

Well I won’t be burning any jerseys or anything… think the team is better with neds in net… that puck handling is a major asset…was a fun season and was hoping for more…. Tampa has a great pp and that killed us…. Rod should have pulled Peter in game 4… he needs to learn to do those unpopular things from time to time

Maybe but Tampa was similar to us before the 2019 season. then they changed their roster. and got Grittier peeps like Coleman and more.

Hard to forecheck a team as skilled as Tampa that's filled with players that can make quick accurate passes and skate. Can't win a board battle when the puck is already gone.
