Still while at the bottom of that cliff he is one of your better production players lol.

He's 6th among Detroit's forwards.

And yet, he'd only be 7th on teams like Tampa, Toronto, Vegas, and Washington, and would be 5th in Colorado and Edmonton.

Whole bunch of shitty teams on that list. I see your point, we're f***ed. :sarcasm:

“Tage played with a wrist injury”
“Tage isn’t injury prone at all”

Tage has never played a full season in the NHL. He averages 9 missed games a year or 11% of the season.
I mean surely you can differentiate between "he was injured last season and played through it" and your broad claim that he's injury prone. Which he isn't. Is Larkin injury prone? He's only played 82 games once, am I doing this right?

I think whoever gets Larkin wins the trade but that's just because I value centers over wings. Rather see both on the same team making 2/3 of a helluva line.

rearranging the deck chairs on two titanics!
My buddy got me this mug. He thinks (and I agree) I just shuffle deck chairs around on this sinking ship we call life. I use the mug everyday!

I like how Thompson plays ~2 games at wing because he has some nagging injury preventing him from taking face offs and people are pretending he’s not a center anymore.

Tage is the better goal scorer, Larkin is the better center. Both teams keep what they have because this trade is ultimately robbing Peter to pay Paul.

If he doesn't want to be seen as a wing he should be better at being a center. I think Thompson is Cozens deluxe - someone who would be better off on the wing.

I like Larkin a lot but not sure good fit for Buffalo
Thompson not going to be traded

Red wings and Sabres not good trade partners.

I don't think they are, either. My stance is just that with the question the OP asks, I prefer Larkin because I like him at center and not at wing - where I see Thompson being a better fit. As an outsider for Buffalo, I wouldn't want to be dealing Thompson or Cozens, but adding to them.

I wouldn't do that trade but I'd like tage on the red wings just so he doesn't score a million goals on them. Dude is always on the score sheet when we play Buffalo
