15-20 games is a pretty small sample size too. Usually takes 200-300 games to see what a player really is and have any discussions about them.Difference between discussing a game for fun (half the fun of sports even if it’s not always fun fun) and making or implying definitive/meaningful statements or judgments as a few people in here seem to have.
When he goes 15-20 games pacing like a 60 point guy, the “was last year a flash in the pan” convos become more reasonable.
Teams have started seasons on 10 game win streaks and missed the playoffs. He looked really good the games I watched.
Or, let people discuss and provide context (such as his history of slow starts and poor puck luck or how he has looked) instead of the constant zero-effort "it's been X games" posts that attempt to shut down conversation the first few weeks/months of every single season.
