If Strome is out, who comes in and how will the lines change?

Kreider - Zib - Vatrano
Panarin - Copp - Hunt
Lafreniere - Chytil - Goodrow
Motte - Brodz - Reaves

I wouldn't mess with the 1st and 3rd lines at all.

For the record, I'd rather see Gauthier get a stab at it in Hunt's spot instead, but I know how Gallant operates at this juncture when it comes to Hunt.

I think it's potentially much better than above average. looking around the league, I think our 3rd line compares favorably with most.

Other than inexperience and the insane talent around the league I think the Rangers are cup contenders. Our big weak link is Nemeth but he's a 6D. Too bad Strome is having a bad year though, he's the other candidate for weak link.

Man, Motte is just so good for his role. With his speed and his ability to apply pressure and disrupt all over the ice he's a real good player out there.

That and the Vatrano trades have been great for Drury. Lots of us were concerned that Drury will get taken to the cleaners on trades after the Buch trade but he got some bargains. Not sure how Braun went for a higher pick than Motte and Vatrano though.

The thing that annoyed me the most about all Sam and Joe's hagiography towards Fox, is that as good as Fox's been this year, I think he actually isn't playing as well overall s he did last season, especially defensively.

You’re correct. GG said in postgame he didn’t like what he saw with Copp at center this game so he brought up Goodrow.

I don't think this is a controversial take, he has been significantly worse. Last year he was a beast defensively. This season, if it's not Nemeth f***ing up I assume it's Fox-Lindgren. 5 on 5, I don't know what the metrics are but to me Trouba-Miller have been far superior to Fox-Lindgren. Fox happens to be maybe the best PP QB in the league though so his numbers are impressive.
