We thoroughly outplayed them. We've been carrying play since the deadline.

I think we have an issue carrying momentum into the first half of the second period when we have a good first period. That's a much smaller issue than being poor at even strength.

I think some credit goes to NJ & BUF in these games too, they havent thrown in the towel and have beaten some really good teams recently.

Call it Mercy? Call it human nature....

but when you're bitch slapping the shit stains of the league ( Buff, NJD, OTT ) you can't let up after a dominant period.

You turn it off, it's really hard to turn it back on. They didn't turn it off against Pittsburgh because they respected them.

And considering how we've been able to string together wins together with piss-poor 5v5 play, if this keeps up the league should be on notice.

I'm just going to out and say it - a deadly powerplay and Shesterkin alone made us one of the top teams in the league. A deadly powerplay, Shesterkin and good (not even great, just good) 5v5 play make us a Stanley Cup contender.
Yea but we will lose most of the additions that helped us get there which sucks.

I put the Buffalo feed on but couldn't stand listening to it. So I muted it and turned on the radio feed from the NHL. I think it was Dave Maloney and Kenny Albert. So much better. I was getting sick from the spotlight cam feed.

The problem is that MSG broadcasts only has one video feed - the camera work for both the Ranger and Sabre feeds is identical.

1. We are watching Alexi Lafreniere’s coming out party.
2. Andrew Copp is not going anywhere.
3. Buffalo is going to be pretty good, pretty soon.
Granato has them playing well. Get him a bit more talent and they will be good. He is getting every ounce out of what they have.

That is a very much a par for the course Georgiev game. The outlier was the Carolina game. This is very much the usual. You need 5 goals minimum to win a Georgiev start 9 out of 10 times.

This game was eerily similar to the last Buffalo game we played them at home that went back and forth because Georgie couldnt stop a nosebleed. That was also on a Sunday and included a last second game winning goal from one of our young D-men.

A lot of you must be happy about the Strome injury.

The usual bashers of the Rangers are in hiding, although one has changed his tune.

The Gallant bashers have no idea what to do, now.

A lot of posters owe Drury a f***ing apology. Starting with Gallant and the roster moves, this team is SIGNIFCANTLY better than it was a year ago. And we haven't given up a single key asset or 1st round pick. We still have enough to make one or two more HUGE moves. What an amazing job by Drury and company.

I've said many times I'll give Drury good marks when he gets a young center or two in here and fixes the Kravtsov mess. Those black spots, in combination with the Buch fiasco, outweigh a strong trade deadline or re-signing your own stars to megadeals.

I'm glad we have a fun team that doesn't have as many black holes as it used to that we can watch down the stretch. But I haven't moved off the position that he overinvested in grit and toughness to the exclusion of other necessary talent.

Many refused to give him a chance after the first move he had to make was one that was going to be seen as a massive loss by the fanbase regardless of what the return was. The majority of his moves have been good and he and Gallant have their finger on the pulse of the team. The Buch trade and the Nemeth signing are exceptions to a pretty solid resume through 12 months.
