No. The main problem is idiot coaching. Canonica is the worst player on this roster but they keep on playing him vs top lines. It was his giveaway that led to the goal against. I called all this even before the game. Our coaching is horrid. The lines or icetimes haven't made sense in a single game. Name only one. And not even with last change they can get the matchup's right. It's unreal. The worst clownshow I've ever seen.

There are some problems but Jonas is totally right player quality is a way bigger factor than coaching. Maybe loosing against Germany might get some reforms for the junior programm on going...

Stutzle is probably the best player in the tournament. Therefore, Germany isn't a nice quarter final opponent for anyone.

That's a tough call. I can see an argument for both sides. He was clearly in the zone before the puck, but as a move. Glad I'm not the one making the decision.

Glad it's a goal.

He touched it before it crossed the blue line and was the first (and only) to touch it after. It did redirect a bit after hitting the Swiss dman's skate but I don't see why that disqualifies it as the Swiss player was trying to play the body while Stutzle was playing the puck the entire time. It's not like he just bumbled into the zone and the puck just happened to come to him. It was a deliberate play.

That was a clear entry into the Zone or how the official call is. controlled entry into the Zone with the Puck. Wondering why swiss took here a challenge. Those the stick lift doesnt make it a controlled entry?

Honestly couldn't get too upset if they called that either way. There was a stick check as Stutzle tried to put the puck around the guy. You could in theory call that losing control because of a stick check. But Stutzle was still trying to do that, so it was controlled. I can see it both ways

Germany is a one line team and we do have excellent and experienced shutdown defenders and forwards. Last change, if used correctly, could be absolutely huge. Switzerland not scoring any goals has more to do with the clowns than anything else.
How is your shutdown game coming along? :sarcasm:
