Lol. Did you watch game 1 vs the Slovaks? He was playing on his own (again, had nobody to play with all tournament long) vs the opponents top line but he had 8 shots on goal and several grade a chances. Who, behind your top line, could do that or has experience similar to Knak's? Right. Nobody.

It's all coaching here. They sacked a brilliant coach to install themselves and since they don't want to be made responsible for their bs they installed a dummy coach to take the blame for them. Only possible in Switzerland:facepalm:
With all due respect, your Posts are becoming more and more bitter. I suggest that you have unrealistic expectations for this line up of 17 & 18 yr olds in a heavily loaded 19 year old tournament.

I don’t think you’re giving your opponents much credit either.

I also respectfully suggest that you may be robbing yourself of the enjoyment of watching your young players get experience in this tournament for next year.

I hope you can shift your thinking to a positive perspective.

Cheers

That's a bit of a disservice to Peterka who has also been unreal. Also as like the only 2 players on Germany with real NHL top six upside they also get the lion's share of the minutes and offensive opportunities, something Lafreniere had to share as part of such a good team.
Good point about Peterka. That guy is a player too. But still Laf had the much better supporting cast. I. Thinking Stutzle might end up the more dynamic offensive player.

Still think you should be good enough to stay in the top division even though the 2002/2003 team won`t be the strongest, right?

I hope they get relegated if the clowns are still coaching next year. Would be best for everyone involved:laugh:

Would be a waste for the 04 guys though. Surely the Swiss are good enough to be top 9 at this level even when they have weaker years. Would be a shame if they get relegated.

There's no relegation this year. They are also going to finish 9th as their GD is better than Austria's.

You missed the point. You should read my posts before quoting me. Of course I'm bitter but that's because of the clowns behind that bench. I'm not having any unrealistic expectations whatsoever. I'm just feeling sorry for players who never really were in the position to play up to their abilities all tournament long. Which is sad.

Next year isn't gonna be any different without a coaching change. I can promise you that.

Its about next year as a poster mentioned the 2003 year being a weak one as well.

That should have been 2+10, not sure if it was enough for 5mins and a suspension. Would need to see it again

When i bet now that Swiss make 5 Goals in 3rd Period and it happen, than i am a Millionaire(Billionaire). ;)

Ah ok. I still highly doubt they do worse than Austria, especially if Rossi breaks camp with the Wild.

He's been putting up points and towing his team every game. Considering the circumstances of being shorthanded the whole tournament it just makes it that much more impressive.
Individually it's not really a huge negative to play upwards of 25 or even 30 minutes per game. Obviously it's tough against the best teams, which is why he had no points and -7 against Canada. But against competition that's as bad as Slovakia or Switzerland? It's a good situation if you want to produce points.

Depends on who else is battling relegation. :)
Germany without Stützle and Peterka is probably at the same level. SVK looks promising, Austria obviously heavily in danger for relegation (Even if Rossi is there).

I say 2003 is definitley better than 2002. Canonica and Biasca were ahead of the other guys last year but this year a could name at least five players who have performed better than them. They mostly made the team because they have more NT experience and because they can play center. There is no top prospect in that birthyear that is true but the depth is acutally decent. 2004 has about two or three really promising prospects and pretty bad depth. 2005 looks it might be a decent year but its to early to tell.

I think it's likely Peterka and Reichel will be available to play next year for Germany.
