If one of our boys goes after McDavid right away, like Sutter did with Holl, he sent Tkachuck to go after Holl and Matthews after Goudreau got hit

Bure once got run Dallas Stars, and I remember him elbowing Shayne Churla. Jagr used to get pounded by players along the boards. Heck even Corson ran him few times to slow him down

Remember Kasparaitis against Lemieux in 93 playoffs? He showed Mario no respect.

No, they didn't. Two were great passes for one timers by Galcy, one was a double deflection in OT with Taveres the closest Leaf to the net, and one was a lucky bounce off Engvall.

I have not been one of the ones calling Campbell to be the teams saviour, but I have to say, tonight, those two saves in the 3rd... clutch. The first one looked like luck, but you know what he got enough of it.

Those saves were the reason we were able to come back. We seemed to get a LOT of puck luck in the 3rd and OT... after having none since we last played EDM... weird that.

Not the best team effort, gave up a some odd-mans but managed to find a way to win... that is all I have been asking for. Sometimes a game is shit and you have to find a way... Campbell gave them the opportunity and they made it happen. Great win imo despite everyone sucking after two periods (lol).

What a difference it is to have a goalie that makes clutch saves and allows a team to use their offensive talents to make comebacks.

Great game by Galchenyuk, well deserved for his good playing in all his games.

Unimpressed by Dermott and Rielly. Btw, if we’re talking strictly offence, who would you rather have, Barrie or Rielly? Not many would choose Rielly if they’re being objective. Rielly is killing our first Pp.

I would at least like to try other options out of the box thinking ...

Why not? I'd easily pay a 1st in a weak draft for Hall.

He's still a great player, offensive zone entry wizard. I wouldn't move Galchenyuk off Tavares line, I would move him to the Matthews line with Marner. That gives you so many creative ways to deploy Hyman depending on the game situation.

The old school mentality is very salty. But when I see guys like Tanev throwing Matthews into the boards, Kassian leave his feet on Tavares or even McDavid boarding Hyman, I just want to see our guys give it right back.

Hall is actually tougher than you think and plays a bit dirty. He's not exactly a floater

I liked how the team played. Gally coming up big when he went to the 2nd line. I thought Engvall looked like a 4C and Kerfoot looked out of place. I would target a 3C. Defensive was good, but I feel like we are missing a dmen who can defend as well as be a threat in scoring. Rielly is good at moving the puck up the ice, but he's passing and shooting are average at best. I'd love to get Byram, maybe for like Sandin, Robertson and Kerfoot
