I feel bad for the guy that started the Oiler game day thread. Looks like he spent a week or more on it. Something about the Oilers coming to play at the center of the universe. It was pretty epic. All for naught...

To visiting Oilers fans your team is shit- we hit fifty posts and y'all still think you deserved to win. Have fun when mcdavid walks.

Finally matty gets a bounce.

I like blowouts as well, these are good character wins and great for confidence. To fight back and win a third period and overtime is needed once in a while.
I agree but I wonder if they think they are good enough to spot teams leads and come back whenever they feel like turning it up.

One of the most toxic GDT's I've ever seen no doubt.

listen bud, come down from your high horse.
Before you start throwing f bombs at everyone and everything, after another unconvincing win, realize that some of us have supported, watched, and spent good money for decades supporting our beloved team, myself with over 4 decades. Fcol some of us have even shed blood wearing this team's colors in enemy territories at times fgs.
So that doesn't make you a bigger leaf fan than the next guy simply cause we decide to bitch about our team at times or express our disgusts even.
Even if it's done around here.
Don't like our antics, simply move on . You ain't gonna stop us from posting and I am not gonna stop you from posting.
But I can read your post and choose to either ignore it or respond to it, but I won't start name calling my fellow leaf fans.
Cheers

Maybe against the Canadian teams sure, but the Leafs should be pretty dominant in the first 2 rounds if they play they way they're capable of. They'll need to step up to beat other top teams like Tampa, Colorado/Vegas, or whoever makes it out of the East (metro) division....

Sure. Though part of having the ability to do that is not giving up after one bad period and fighting for every inch like they did tonight

He should , but man o man is SC still the man for now ...just because of longevity and consistent big points and strength and will and leadership .. and still putting them up and $$ cupS $$
CM is incredible but hmmmm ... not yet
AM is second best then the rest of the elite now
Sid is still a beast for sure ... Matthews inst dominate in my opinion, great goal scorer and scary good around the net

I haven't even bothered to check out the sandiness on the Oilers and main boards right now. Matthews with the winner was the icing on the cake

I'm sick of seeing these kinds of posts after every Leafs win. How about you try to stay a little classy... why worry about lurking Oilers fans?

On topic, that was an amazing comeback win! I thoughts Gally was a difference maker tonight.

With one game left against Edmonton this season our record against them is now 6-1-1, taking 13 of 16 points. Their fans have shed many tears, and filled their basements with many frustrated Reee’ing sounds, causing many an Edmonton mother to yell down to them to grow up and move out already.

No joke - that actually worries me.

That's just the way he is. He was like that for the spits too. He is a pretty good goalie for keeping it in check.

Some goalies need to think they are the best and other goalies need to think they always need to be better. As long as they are producing, I personally don't care which route they pick.

I'm holding Campbell to the same standard as Freddy. 2 goals is fine 3 goals every now and then and they need to be able to shut it down every now and then.

One thing I am liking about Jack is when he does let goals in, they are not at the worse possible times... most of the time. Does wonders for the boys when they are pressing after a goal.

hyman - matthews - marner
galchenyuk - tavares - nylander
thornton - kerfoot - mikheyev
simmonds - engvall - spezza

i wish keefe just keeps everyone where they should be, only two people changing should be thornton and spezza depending on whos skating better that night, other than that the lines are pretty set...stop messing with it really
With the players that we have at the moment , I totally agree ...
Moving forward
Upgrade for this playoffs , tougher ( mentally and physically) than Engvall and Kerfoot and 1 tougher DMan

True, they did claw back & get the win; there are some positives to take away & most importantly they got the win which ultimately is by far the most important thing.
