I saw a stat that Sweden is 40-0 in the prelim round the last 10 tournaments?? That's nuts. Sadly just one gold to show for it. More medals than Canada recently though.

Now Canada has blown all their energy, time for Sweden to start skating.

I don't know about losing energy as they are rolling all 4 lines pretty evenly. These are all high minute players on their respective regular teams. Its not like Canada is riding two lines into exhaustion.

Whatever teams wins this is going to have a tough time against the US if the US brings their skating and passing game.

The only way you can beat the US is relentless pressure. It can be done but it has to be a complete team effort.
And of course stellar goal tending.

In terms of goaltending overall, thank god for Holtby. But since him, there's been nothing. In terms of the world juniors though yeah I can't remember the last time goaltending was a real strength that inspired much confidence

Matt Murray is well on his way to becoming an elite goaltender IMO. But I don't believe that the future of Canadian goaltending is weak or anything.

Strome is a great prospect but he is sharply lacking in IQ right now in the sense that he seems to think he can do whatever he wants as if he's playing an OHL game right now.

This has been a fantastic game. I also loved the US-Russia game. Great night for hockey!

Similar to Sweden IMO

At least the Connor Ingram experiment is over in whichever medal game Canada ends up in. I thought Hart looked better since the start. Much better positionally.

Canada wants it more. first on the puck. Swedes is meh. No pressure on canada dmen. Canada is def better on small rink
