Looks like the refs are letting them go a bit....even the too many men penalties.

Man, both these two teams a pretty much garbage and how did anyone think the Swedes were favorite? USA should have an easy time with whoever wins this.

Both Gold and Bronze games will be close. All 4 teams are fairly even this year. Canada is perhaps the worst individually, but tonight they are simply playing the best cohesive game I've seen from them all tournament with far more energy than any previous match they've played.

In another thread, someone made a good point.

Lots of the Euro goalies get to play against men and thus harder, fast shots. So maybe they are more suited when you face a team that gasps 4 lines that can score vs CHL goalies who usually have to only worry about 2 lines.

never thought of it that way. be interesting to see if these european goalies make the transition faster

And to think that Hart and Sandstrom are both Phidadelphia prospects...

And people should know, Sandstrom was awful last year as an 18 year old in this tournament. So before people lay on players like Ingram or Hart, they should also know that these are kids playing in a short tournament against the best players in their age groups. So small sample size and all that.

If i wake up tomorrow and kylington have scored i will eat crow but i doubt it as he's worthless and should be benched in the final

In terms of goaltending overall, thank god for Holtby. But since him, there's been nothing. In terms of the world juniors though yeah I can't remember the last time goaltending was a real strength that inspired much confidence

Dustin Tokarski was good for Canada...and Norfolk.

Gauthier has to drive that puck wide. He slowed up twice avoiding hits and lost the puck. He should be trying to drive through the hit
