Nah it's different tbh, there is a verbal agreement on personal terms
You had an agreement with Mbappe on personnal terms too :)
Mbappe didn't "succomb" to political pressure
Mbappe doesn't want to be a legend out of many. He wants to be his own legend. He wants to make history. And bringing the CL to Paris would make history. Bringing it to Real wouldn't.
That's the bottom line and Real fans trying find excuses like "more money" (debunked by everyone close to the situation), or "victim of blackmail by Qatar" (lol) or political pressure (double lol) is frankly both pityful and laughable.

Some people really never too the chance to understand Mbappe's character to state some crap like that.

As for Tchouameni, I know Mbappe is trying to convince him to come. Same with Nkunku who doesn't need much convincing (Leipzig does on the money front though).

PSG and OM are after Seko Fofana too. Not sure if they're serious about it (PSG) or have enough money (OM), but any team would be inspired to get him. Probably for something like 20M. He brings energy, intensity, speed, power, clutch goals, leadership, etc....

Yeah but I'm confident this time

As for Mbappe, I agree,, he took the time to think about it, and I understand his desire to be a huge part of PSG's history if they win their first ever CL
Hopefully the club won't screw up and Messi will stop choking in the CL

Sounds very Arsenal :dunno:
Bruv, this is Arsenal's DNA we are talking about here with no mutations. Giving, at best, above-average players loaded contracts lol. At least we're helping his kid finish university if he isn't a footballing wizard by then.

He did succomb to pressure.

The guys who pressured him knew how to and what he needed to hear. They convinced him and that's fair. They said the right things and at the end of the day, he took the best decision for himself. Fair enough.

Yeah. If it was just about being a French legend you’d think that would be a pretty straightforward choice. Instead, we got a flip flopping soap opera over eighteen months.

So you WERE serious. Man, that's laughable.
There are plenty of reasons why a player wouldn't join Madrid. Wake up.

I think you are thinking I am saying something I am not saying.

All I am saying was that there was a lot of political pressure on Mbappé and, at the end of the day, it certainly got to him. I am not saying he was blackmailed, that would be stupid. I am saying people talked to him and convinved him to stay.

Heck, if anything, you gotta applaud PSG for being tenacious and making it happen.

At the end of the day, what we know is that, at a point in time, Mbappé wanted Madrid and only Madrid... and then he changed his mind and ended up renewing. We also know that plenty of people got involved (which is fair). We certainly tried to do own courting... and failed where PSG succeeded. That's how recruitment works. I do not know what you find "laughable" in this take.

Last time I thought the case was closed (hehe), the player ended up choosing not to come. That is why I am being cautiously optimistic about Tchouanémi.

Why would it had gone to him except in your head?
Mbappe is hardly someone you can put pressure on.
Otherwise he would have left a long time ago. Heck he wouldn't have denied Real 4 years ago.

Mbappe wanted Madrid, he changed his mind for plenty of reasons. His father always wanted him to stay. PSG aligned their monetary offer on Madrid (which wasn't the case when he wanted out), he has developped a bond with Messi, he has seen the PSG support by the fans (even in bad moments) and he has ensured he was the number one player on the team during that year.
Thinking it was because Macron advised him to stay seems really foolish to me.

Yes, you shouldn't celebrate Tchouameni since he's being recruited heavily by some of his buddies.

Wait, is there truth to the story that they gave him the keys to the team, or not?

Because that would have had the biggest influence, but if that is the case, it never works.

Of course not. Spanish media has tried to find 100 excuses for choosing Paris over Madrid.
Mbappe clearly asked the direction PSG was heading. Coach, sporting director, roster. Telling him about the upcoming changes doesn't make him the GM.

Because when so many people are pushing you to do something, it might convince you... and it did. Once again, fair enough. PSG did a better job convincing him than we did.

You are reducing my position to "lol Macron talked to him", but that is not what I said. I make Macron-Sarko jokes, that's true. Like I make SD Mbappé jokes. But, I clearly explained in my last post that I thought the entire courtship, which included Macron and Sarkozy, worked. Good for PSG.

If you want to build a narrative around the glorious French player staying home for the greater good, fair enough, I guess.

Not what I said at all. I said the tipping point for him was probably the legacy he'll leave, which has always been his motor.
Contrary to what people would believe, if Madrid had lost to PSG, Mbappe would have had a better chance to leave.
If PSG had won the CL last month, Mbappe would have left and everyone would have been happy. But they didn't, and worse for Real, they went on to win the CL, which makes Mbappe's coming even more uninteresting.

200k for Jesus is a lot. I rate him though and think he can be a job in this Arsenal team.
