Great feed from Mancini, beautiful redirection

Hard to go against Kreider but after the top line, he has to be our most effective, even if not the most productive player. His line is must see TV. All home grown players, only one of them picked in a premium position. At least they give us something to watch when the team looks terrible.

this kid has massive talent and will, a love for the game, and is a real easy player to root for. He also is prone to brain trauma - to an extent that I now believe precludes further play at this level. It's a really sad thing, not for the rangers, but for a guy who i don't think wanted anything more than to compete on the small sheet of ice.

With Chytil's proclivity towards harm being as pronounced and chronic as we've seen, i think it's really f***ed up how many people are blaming miller for this blow. Maybe some of it is gallows humor, get a cheap laugh here with a comment they read on facebook, but a lot of it isn't.

I guess in some ways I take comfort knowing that if someone's initial response to this collision is vitriol against K'Andre, their opinion about him can forever be dismissed as fatally colored by personal bias. K'andre does have his flaws, like most players. They're just impossible for reasonable people to talk about because of the pure velocity and volume of commentary from the Hate brigade.

I feel for K'andre too. if this does sideline Fil significantly, probably blames himself unnecessarily.

It's a shitty thing all around. I hope Chytil is okay.

surprised he made it almost 15 games

do feel awful for the kid, incredibly obvious how much he cares and how much work he's put in to get back. he even made massive strides in his deficiencies....staying low in the d zone, stopping on pucks and battling for them etc...the raw talent as a skater/shooting has continually improved

unfortunately...he simply cannot stop putting himself in horrendously vulnerable positions constantly. already this season he's been smoked far more than anyone on the team. the 1 on 1 hits he takes aren't bad because he's seen them in time, but he has a horrible habit of picking up pucks turning up ice without any idea where defenders are and skating himself into a bad spot because he's completely focused on where he wants to go with the puck...which means he has zero awareness of any secondary defender that closes on him.

as phenomenally as he's played to this point, his lack of awareness of defenders and continual habit of putting himself in awful positions made this inevitable. when you get hit that hard, that often, its only a matter of time until one of them does some damage to something. really sucks it seems like it's worst case scenario for him, assuming it's his melon. at least like a shoulder or wrist woulda had a timeline....he's def all outta freebies on concs.

Really feel for Chytil. He has such a love for the game and obviously has put in the work. At the same time, every time I seem him go for a 50\50 puck I wince. Same way I did for Lafontaine with us, and Bure with his knees.

Don't know if this was another concussion, although it certainly didn't look good. I do hope he has someone in his ear talking about his well-being outside of hockey.
