Sad. I really like Werner.

Losing nine figures on Lukaku and Werner. Doesn’t make a difference. That’s Chelsea.

Why?

Coady Tarkowsky is the backline I'd play if I were Southgate. It doesn't solve their scoring issues though.
I’d love that back line for England too. Southgate would get ejected into orbit.

Manchester united is quite the mess. I don't even know how many teams would want Arnautović in the PL. Just another fill the gap signing and continuing like nothing's wrong. And I'm enjoying every minute of it. Ralf was right when he said they needed 10 signings and they've got 3?. Utter insanity

Arnautovic isn't even good enough for the Prem anymore. Maybe a relegation bound team but those players aren't good enough either so
Man Utd spent millions of dollars redoing their back room staff and scouting and all they’ve come up with is players ETH knows from the Dutch league and Marko Arnautovic. Woof.

I didn't believe they were changing for one second. They've dug themselves a huge hole that will be hard to get out of.

Neither United nor Chelsea have changed.

Much ado about nothing.

Chelsea going to take like a 120m bath on Lukaku and Werner, celebrate it, spend more money on that and call it good business. The media will anyway.

I've watched Arnautovic quite a lot in serie a last year, he's still an ok striker for that league, but nowhere near where United fans would like their level to be right now. He's 33 too, his prime has passed.

Nah he's better than that. And he'll still give you 100 percent effort, it's just that it's less than it used to be. Good for some stupid reds too during a season.

It's f*&ing shocking.

Saw today UTD are looking at Arnautovic. I think he's decent but surely he's not the answer to their issues...

Their midfield is screaming for an overhaul, and they're too busy targeting a 33-year old who was mediocre with West Ham years ago.

Spurs are looking to sign Udogie next week. Will be loaned back to Udinese for the season. Signing both Perisic and a potential future replacement sounds smart.

Grouping Lukaku and Werner together is laughably bad. Criticize the Lukaku business all you want, it deserves it. Werner gave us 2 good years and helped win a CL, that we're going to lose some money selling him isn't a big deal.

Both players did not live up to their price tags. Werner at Chelsea was a lot like Torres at Chelsea. It worked out. It not because of them. Werner’s Chelsea highlight reel is just a couple of decoy runs. Yes it’s not a big deal if Chelsea lose money on a guy they recently signed at a premium. We know this from the last decade.

Sessegnon? Looks like he might be starting to figure it out. Are they planning on playing him more as a winger than a wingback?

This is blatantly false. Werner did not work out as hoped as he did not score as many goals as hoped, but he was still a positive player on the pitched that helped us win games with his pressing, effort, passing, etc. He was better at progressing the ball and generating chances (for himself and others) than most players in the league. It's just unfortunate he blew so many chances.

I mean we've needed a DM since 2009. It's not like this is a recent revelation and ignorance of the position. The incompetence has been going of for some time. But Gill and SAF papered over the cracks.

Right. But you don’t need to spunk 50m on a player that does that and I don’t think it’s debatable that he didn’t meet individual expectations. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t look back positively on his time. I mean Divock Origi was one of the worst players I’ve ever seen but man he scored some important goals.

I mean we've needed a DM since 2009.
And Frenkie isn’t really a DM either

Sessegnon is good. I don’t know why they ar putting all those guys in front of him.

I don’t really understand what United are doing. For as long as the De Jong saga was going on they could have signed Fabian Ruiz for a lot less and with a notably smaller wage packet.

It’s ok they don’t understand either. Not that it’s any of my concern. Just hoping the Frenkie matter resolves itself one way or another.
