I think the only reason the Fofana talk is going on is because it seems Leicester needs to sell so teams are approaching them for him. Leicester isn't going to cut any deals either way so they will be paying the full price. So I don't think this is Chelsea going after their 7th or 8th target, it's taking advantage of a situation and getting a guy they didn't think they could. Kinda similar to Koulibaly where every big club have wanted him for years but Napoli wouldn't sell. This summer he was in his last year of his deal and the owner wasn't happy about him missing time for the AFCON, so he was willing to sell.

ngl i do find it interesting how ppl won’t bat an eye at madrid having six quality CMs, all three being some of the most desirable u25s in the world behind modric kroos and casemiro

but when chelsea considers bringing in fdj when they have two expiring 30 year olds - one of which is injured all the time - in kante and jorgi, ppl are losing their minds about how excessive it is and unfair that is to guys like billy gilmour and gallagher

the biggest question with the rumored fdj signing would be the wages because he would destroy the wage structure if he were to come here - which is why i think it won’t happen. our top earners are around 300k but he’s at 550
