When I was a 16-17 year old kid I worked at a 'Pet supplies plus' store and we had ball pythons and boas... I had to handle them when a customer came in and was looking to buy one. All the snakes we had were small and babies but I had to handle them/ take them out of the tank. The Pythons were actually very docile but the Boas were little A-holes and I got bit a few times.

UPS said I wasn't home even though I was.....

Do you ever wonder how much that penalty changed Rick Middleton's legacy? Yeah he got his number retired and is remembered as among the best Bruins of his era (but I'd say comfortably below both Neely/Bourque and Orr/Espo in the overall hierarchy of Bruins). But if they could've just held on for 3:59 without screwing up, he would've been the guy who iced the Habs in the 3rd period of game 7 at the Forum in a two goal performance. Instead it's an afterthought.

Ratelle and Park would have looked good with a cup. I think it changes their legacies more. Ratelle was truly great, and is largely an afterthought today because he did not do well in the playoffs with the Rangers.

I got a letter from the IRS claiming that they've adjusted my 1040 and as a result they claim I owe them $700. I checked my records against what they're showing and it's that they're trying to disallow the $2500 adjustment for Student Loan Interest payments on line 10. Maybe I forgot to attach a Schedule 1 to the 1040 but I most definitely qualify for it and have the 1098-E to prove it.

So I called them today and was on hold for approximately an hour and a half and explained everything to a guy only to have him say that he's the collections department and I need to talk to the account management department, so they transferred me there where I had to wait another hour for a callback from that department, went over everything with that guy for him to conclude that I need to send a letter in the mail and that I can't appeal over the phone. So I wrote an appeal letter and attached all the documentation I had and now have to wait 30 days for a response.

It's pretty clearly an error on their end, so I expect it to be overturned, but when I first got the notice in the mail I was concerned that I had messed up and was going to owe (I prepare my own taxes). And if for some reason they don't overturn it then interest on what they claim I owe is still growing every day, so having the process take 30 days isn't ideal. I still should win, but it's frustrating.

Good Luck!

I mentioned earlier in this thread about the real estate market and how things have changed - potential buyers giving photos, stories, videos on why they are a good choice for their offer. It didn't affect our decision and we chose the offer that was best financially and realistically since the house is vacant and we have to maintain it.

Anyway....the buyer had sent a photo of them and their kids at Christmas. There are four kids in the picture who are quite young. One of the neighbours told me she met them while they were looking through the house again, she said there are 3 kids and they are several years older than in the picture - 18, 16, 10. Hmmm......seems their story was a bit off. Good thing we didn't let any of that affect our decision but it bothers me that they said how they would be such a good fit and had a large family, etc.

The "coming soon" signs bother me too, our realtor said the regulations were changed and they are only allowed to have those signs ups for 7 days now. It was creating unfair bidding and houses were being sold before the other realtors got a chance to show the houses. They need to do something about these stories people are telling to get houses. It is ridiculous and as someone said, discrimination is an issue.

Fantastic game. Sydney almost threw it away, they were not coping well at the end. Collingwood have so much heart, don't quit. But their slow start cost them the game.

Geelong should be lifting the cup next week.
@Aussie Bruin FS2 didn't air the last 58 seconds - they went to a scheduled show at 5:30 AM ET

Good luck! I hope you have better luck than I did getting their mistake overturned. I’ve got $200 left to pay on their screw up from 5 years ago. My school never sent them the form and claimed they did but mysteriously couldn’t produce it on demand. I finally gave up fighting with them .

Looks as tho we may have less than a year. His breathing getting more labored. Vet said he could be hospitalized for breathing treatment but he would be alone and terrified. Parents got him some pet oxygen tank. This is gonna be hard have already stopped myself 10 times from crying.

I read the riot act to UPS yesterday - it helps when you know their secret local phone number

They sent the driver back and he did mutter - you know somebody at UPS don't you

iPhone 14 Pro Max is worth every penny, especially the video camera

The huge upgrade for me is I now can add a Montreal number on the extra eSIM slot on a pay as you basis and not deal with roaming issues in Canada again.

Idk if its because he is a cocker spaniel. But he went within 30 seconds after getting the shot. Bronchial pneumonia came fast. Parents think past vets mis-diagnosed him.

Rest in Peace Macaroni. The goodest of boys.

I attend a relatively new church, founded in March 2021. After over a year and a half of renting meeting space, we finally were able to lease an old church building that is all ours and doesn't involve setting up and tearing down everything each week. But the building needs a lot of work before we move in. Today was a work day, we had over 20 people volunteer their time (and considerable talent in many cases). Me, they trusted with a paint roller LOL. Baseboard and trim, done! Below is some of the work. It was a fun day.

I'm so sorry! He was beautiful. This makes me sad, my Daisy is a cocker spaniel and she's 15. They are such sweet dogs.

The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston is incredible. My friend got discounted tickets from the Boston Public Library. Saw amazing art and sculptures and had a few good laughs in the mummy room (the sarcophagus’ are scary as hell especially when one is cracked open).

It’s absolutely gorgeous out too.

Next up is the Gardner Museum
