I despise medical billing and claims. Why do you have to get 14 separate bills from everyone who walked by you in the hallway??

Even better when your insurance company “makes a mistake” and you get billed for thousands of dollars that you’re not on the hook for. Gotta keep an eye on every cent they charge!I despise medical billing and claims. Why do you have to get 14 separate bills from everyone who walked by you in the hallway??

Must be those Care Everywhere portals being built.Even better when your insurance company “makes a mistake” and you get billed for thousands of dollars that you’re not on the hook for. Gotta keep an eye on every cent they charge!
I got a bill for $242 despite my EOB saying I owed nothing. Insurance carrier said they reissued the EOB to them today and I shouldn't have to pay. What I imagine will happen is I get a collections letter demanding payment.Even better when your insurance company “makes a mistake” and you get billed for thousands of dollars that you’re not on the hook for. Hopefully it doesn't come to that. A few years ago I was billed quite a bit for anesthesia on a surgery. It was scheduled and had to be rescheduled the day before, I walked into the hospital before sunrise. They had 1 anesthesiologist available and it happened to be a third party. My insurance first tried to say that because it was out of network they couldn't cover it, and I myself had to find in the policy where it says specifically that outpatient surgery with a third party provider is covered. Because the hospital was very much in the network (I freaking work there!) and I didn't have any choice in provider (because there was only ONE anesthesiologist present) they covered it. But the kicker is they never confirmed that for me. I sent them all the paperwork and after billing me twice more, and telling me over the phone that it was in review, the letters stopped.I got a bill for $242 despite my EOB saying I owed nothing. I was scheduled for a screening colonoscopy a while back. Supposed to be covered 100 percent no deductible, but if they end up finding something, it suddenly becomes diagnostic and you have to pay.Hopefully it doesn't come to that. I later called to confirm that it was paid, but they weren't gonna reach out to confirm.
EDIT: I think it was actually state law, and not my contract info, that I ended up having to send to them. You'd think they do this enough that I wouldn't have to do that research, but oh well
Unlikely the fuse, blowers routinely get clogged with leaves etc,a little bit of a PIA to clean or change. Also, the blower has a relay which may or may not be weakening, causing it to intermittently close the circuit to the blower and open the circuit to the blower. That's an easy, cheap start. My car's AC has been janky for a while and in the past week or two it's stopped blowing altogether. It produces cool air but doesn't blow. I ended up googling the situation before resorting to taking it into a mechanic who would charge a few hundred to fix it, and one of the answers I found on youtube was pretty simple: locate the air blower motor under the glove compartment and just slap it hard several times. Lo and behold, it actually kinda worked and the blower is going again - still weaker than it used to so I'm sure there will eventually need to be work done on it to replace it or whatnot, but at least I have some air coming in now (last week in the heat without C was brutal - even with the window down I wanted to die). Another solution which I haven't tried yet but will probably try next was replacing the fuse that powers the air blower in the fuse box.
Over the weekend when I have some time I'll try to take a look at the wiring around the blower and see if anything looks off. I don't know, I'm not much of a mechanical person, I just know if I bring it to the dealer they'll try to replace the entire unit and upcharge on everything. If I can do it myself and save money then that's better.Unlikely the fuse, blowers routinely get clogged with leaves etc,a little bit of a PIA to clean or change. Yep. The blowers, and the actuators that open/close vents and direct airflow in dual climate systems, are either an easy replacement job or damn near impossible to reach. My last car had two actuators behind the glove box, and depending on which one broke it was either a 15 minute job for me, or quoted 10 hours SHOP TIME.Unlikely the fuse, blowers routinely get clogged with leaves etc,a little bit of a PIA to clean or change. I just found a youtube video on how to replace the blower motor on my car model, so looks like it wouldn't be too bad of a job if I end up replacing it myself. But apparently you have to remove the passenger knee airbag to get to it so the video makes it clear you have to disconnect the battery when doing it or things could get ugly.Yep. Good luck. YouTube is the freakin best. Sounds like you know your limits though, so i assume you’re already mentally preparing yourself for the task.I just found a youtube video on how to replace the blower motor on my car model, so looks like it wouldn't be too bad of a job if I end up replacing it myself. It seems like the issue is with the motor itself, not the resistor since it's working weakly on all four blower settings, and it responds temporarily when I whack the bottom of the motor, so from all indications that's just a clogged or dying motor (and it's a 9 year old car so it's probably past its time). Getting a replacement off amazon for $50 and spendin an hour and a half on a Saturday morning replacing it seems preferable to scheduling a time to bring it to a mechanic and paying 3 or 4 times that amount.
Reminded me of the photo my friend took and posted the other day of a children's shirt and under the washing instructions it said 'remove shirt from child' first
Worn or corroded brushes on the motor probably. I've done them on a couple of Hondas that didn't require airbag removal. Upside down on my back working by feel, not sight. Sucks. Did it for 30 plus years on airplanes, don't miss it. Just finally gave away my 17 year old F150 that I was constantly underneath, and with both kids approaching independence I won't be working on their cars anymore either, not even oil changes anymore. Good luck, save the profanities for the end-LOLI just found a youtube video on how to replace the blower motor on my car model, so looks like it wouldn't be too bad of a job if I end up replacing it myself. We need to do more in our culture to protect people with no families and our aged population. I worked in an aged community for a few years here and some residents literally had no one...no family, no contacts, noone. We were sometimes their only connection.Ugh. Rescue & ambulance are at the neighbor's place for like the 5th time in 6 months. He has multiple health issues but refuses to do what he needs to do to keep them in check. So he has an episode, gets hauled off to the hospital where they stabilize him, & then comes home only to repeat the cycle. One of these times they're not going to be able to save him.

I'm pretty sure this is dumber than the Tide pod eating.
My theory is that the "skilled" trades who are working residential were the ones who were fired multiple times from commercial construction. I get working for yourself in residential. It is relatively easy, you get to make your own schedule, keep the profit, etc.Same. Like you said it does take a while to get them over though. I can’t blame them for taking bigger jobs closer to them though. That’s been my struggle over the years living in the south shore area, 30 minutes from a highway
