He's not even good enough for that. I could live with it but he's DeBoer's favourite toy. He's gonna play top6 no matter what. You just know it.

No. He's not. Not unless there is an injury that moves him up. Dude is not playing top 6 anymore on this team as currently configured.

Somebody post one of those laughing DeBoer gifs:D
He just can't stop himself and he's gonna do it again

He didn't even play top 6 much last season. Tierney was the one who got moved up when they changed lines.

What are you talking about? The Sharks aren't out. You're right he probably isn't getting traded in the division. I'm betting Karlsson is smart enough to realize that and is negotiating with one of the other options. Vegas or SJ. I doubt the hoffman trade is even viewed as a dick move by Dorian. He wanted players back and Florida didn't offer him that. Dorian already called florida earlier to try and trade hoffman there so obviously he doesn't care if the guy is in division. He needed a 3rd party to get the return he wanted. In comes DW to save the day for him and give him a player with a higher cap hit than salary.

When did Dorion say that he tried to trade Hoffman to Florida?

Mackenzie or Lebrun or someone like that mentioned it after the trade. They talked about how Florida didn't offer Ottawa the same package that they offered the Sharks for hoffman. It was common knowledge... where have you been?

"Ottawa general manager Pierre Dorion contacted the Panthers about Hoffman last week, but Florida GM Dale Tallon said the players Ottawa was looking for didn’t make it a match."

This is rather surprising. You normally don't look to trade top6 forwards in the division. The Panthers may not have too much money but their team is pretty good. This move could backfire for the Sens.

The Panthers org is being run admirably. Look at their roster and they’re setup for a 3-5 year run where they will be really good. Tallon has unsurprisingly done a fantastic job rebuilding this roster.

True. And they could be even better without the advanced clowns and Tom Rowe. They destroyed a lot while Tallon was "promoted"...that story proves that advanced isn't always better. Also gotta know hockey. Tallon may be oldschool but he sure does.

Yeah. If there were any team that could use Karlsson Florida would be the perfect fit. They don’t have the cap space, but they could use an offensive threat from the blue line to round out their roster.

Have we offered $100M 8 year extension to EK65 yet? I think that deal might get it done. If Karlsson agrees, offer Meier, Braun, one of Ch twins, 2019 2nd and 2020 1st for him. If they want us to take on Ryan salary add Melker and take away the Ch twin.

But he did though. Your opinion means literally nothing to me...

Except he didn’t. You’re completely making up a reason to put out the joke that is your outrage. You’re not a serious person in part because of stupid emotional outbursts like this that is based on nothing real. It’s quite hilarious really.

Potential idea: Tampa Bay really wants EK65, but have no room to take on Ryan's contract (or Karlsson's at this point). What if the Sharks gave up something like Tierney+Norris+2019 2nd to TB/Ottawa and in return ate Ryan's contract but also got someone like Brayden Point and Anton Stralman (to eat his $4.5 million and upgrade the 3rd pair as EK65 replaces him in TBL) in return? Not sure how the value would work on the deal in terms of what SJ would give up (guessing it is likely SJ has to give up a bit more than above maybe), but I am intrigued by the idea of getting a future potential #1 center in Point in exchange for some young assets and eating cap space. DW is going to have to get creative.

Point is a nr.1 Center already...he's their nr.1 Center, too. No, not Stamkos. Point took over last season playing bigger minutes and more important minutes in all situations. Stamkos may have scored more but that's only because of usage and it's gonna change...maybe next season already. Yzerman also mentioned several times that Point is untouchable. I'd happily be wrong but Point isn't gonna go anywhere.
